Happy anniversary. Its our 1-year anniversary of the DrupalJax group. We will continue our series on building your site with Drupal. In January we went over setting up your local dev environment. This month we'll look at installing your site and what to do once you have Drupal installed. What are the top modules you'll want to immediately install and how can you start customizing your site.
We'll also feature a module roundtable. Come prepared with what module you have found useful that most people haven't heard about yet.

I've recently started learning about how to setup a multi-site drupal web page.
I am working on a web site for a national veterans organization. The question has come us asking if the different states can be part of the site. The national site name would be SOA.COM. The Florida State site would be either FL.SOA.COM or SOA.COM/FL - probably the first.
At this point, I do not have a question about how to set it up, but the practicality of this approach.

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to Drupal, Quickstart, Drush, SSH and VB. However with some help I was able to install VB and quickstart. I would like to import our existing Drupal site into quickstart to work on it. The site is hosted with GoDaddy. I have enabled SSH.
What are the steps to import the site into quickstart / VB?
Your guidance would be deeply appreciated.

New Content Type Not Showing Drupal 7
I had been developing a site and just came back to it after 2 months
I added a new Content Type
It does not show up in the Add Content Menu.
Drupal 7
There seems no reason for this. The last content type I added 2 months ago showed up immediately.
What shoud I be looking for to make this happen.. Lists on drupal refer to the problem, but I do not see a solution.
I was thinking duplicate machine names but that is not the case. I add_2 just to make sure and this did nothing.
Enabled it under - admin and navigation menus nothing -so reverted.

Due to our regular venue at Rolins College undergoing renovation this year, we've had to start looking for alternative venues. This has delayed planning for the camp until we can nail down somewhere for 2013. At this moment, two areas in Orlando are being considered as well as one in Brevard County.
We're tentatively looking at the month of April for our date.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We will update this note when we have a splash page ready for FLDC2013.
