I just posted the as-official-as-it-is-going-to-get Florida DrupalCamp 2011 wrapup over on DrupalEasy.com. The wrapup contains information from the post-camp survey as well as lessons we learned.

I decided to post it on DrupalEasy so that it would be picked up by Drupal planet - there are a good deal of "lessons learned" that are relevant to DrupalCamp organizers in other locations.

• Sunday - Some people not in Chicago yet
• Monday – Most people (but not all) in Chicago
• Tuesday – Field Museum Part @7pm.
• Wednesday – Lullabot Party @8pm – Possible to eat beforehand!!
• Thursday – ?? Probably a party this evening.
• Friday – I’m flying out in the AM

Does anyone have any preferences? A couple ideas on my part:

1. If we meet earlier (Monday), we can meetup and discuss potential sessions, and fun things to do for the week
2. Tuesday's out because most people are going to the Field Museum Party which starts early (7pm)
3. Wednesday Night could be good, because the Lullabot party doesn't start til 8pm.

Has anyone had any experience moving from OmniUpdate/OU Campus to Drupal? Do you know someone who has? I am seeking user experience information comparing the two CMSs.

Thanks to all of you who have done a great job in making this happen , I have enjoyed every bit of it and do feel it was a worthwhile trip to attend this camp.

Thanks to 35+ particpants that returned for a second day to Florida DrupalCamp 2011, we had our Coding for a Cause session and got a great start on a Drupal 7 website for the Central Florida Computer Society. I can't thank everyone enough for working so hard. We have a great site in the works and all of you who participated worked very hard to make it happen.

Wow. What a weekend. Florida DrupalCamp 2011 is in the books and by all accounts it was a huge success. With almost 250 attendees and 6 tracks of sessions, this was the largest Drupal event ever held in the state of Florida. Attendees traveled from all corners of Florida, as well as a growing number from out-of-state (Illinois, New Jersey, Georgia, North Carolina, to name a few) to participate.

If you have any feedback from the event, feel free to post it publicly in the comments below or privately via the Florida DrupalCamp web site contact form. If you'd like to help out, sponsor, or present at next year's camp, please let us know as well.

Florida DrupalCamp 2011 (Day 1) was held on February 12 in Winter Park, Florida on the campus of Rollins College. The first day of the camp was a 4-track Drupal learning experience and 2 tracks with the Social Media Club. Libations and food at the new Shipyard Brew Pub followed a full day.
