Read morehosting recommendations
I'm looking to put up a very basic site that will be quick and easy to help someone else get going. I'm looking for a hosting company that will assist with all aspects of getting the domain name, setting up e-mail functionality, allowing drupal installation....
The list on drupal.org is overwhelming, so does anyone have any affordable recommendations?

Any help is appreciated.
Read moreFlorida DrupalCamp 2011 DRAFT Sponsorship Levels
Below is the draft for the various sponsorship levels for Florida DrupalCamp 2011. If anyone has any comments and/or suggestions, please let me know ASAP. I'd like to begin approaching potential sponsors later this week.
I've incorporated several major changes to the sponsorship opportunities compared to last year's Florida DrupalCamp. They are:
- Addition of a "Diamond" level - limited to a single sponsor for the event.
- Addition of an "Individual" level
- Increased the sponsorship amounts - last year the vast majority of the sponsors were at the $500 level
November Tampa Bay Meetup (#3)
The third Tampa Bay Drupal meetup is coming up on November 4th. We seem to have a cast of regulars developing, and we've now established a standard meeting place for the foreseeable future.
Last meetup, we went over getting a bare-bones Drupal site running using an Acquia stack (notes here). This month Joe will be touching on a number of modules you'll likely want to use on almost any site you develop with Drupal, a starter-kit of modules if you will.

A few of us have been working at securing a new location for Florida DrupalCamp 2011 - and we've made some good progress.
Before we go much further, we want to double-check the date that we've been working with: February 12-13, 2011. The location will remain in Central Florida.
As far as we can tell, these dates are relatively safe, with the only downside is that this is also the closest weekend to Valentine's Day (the SuperBowl is February 6, the Daytona 500 is February 20, DrupalCon Chicago is March 7-10, there are no other DrupalCamps currently scheduled for this weekend).

No Brevard Meetup This Month (October, 2010)
Hey everybody,
Due to my slackerness, we're going to have to skip this month's Drupal meetup in Brevard County. The date snuck up on me and I wasn't able to confirm the location with enough notice to let everyone know.
Looking forward to November, we have the following possible topics (discussed at a previous meetup):
- Chart module - Ben
- Features and strongarm - Ed
Gainesville Drupal Group - Open Atrium
October's meetup topic will be an Introduction to Open Atrium open to question and answers. Please join us at the Alachua County Library Headquarters on October 14th, 2010 at 6pm. This is also a great place to share your own projects and ideas with other Drupal enthusiasts and/or ask questions. All levels of expertise welcomed.

I've started to do a bit of iPad work and have been using a blank template and building from scratch. I'm starting come up with a template of my own to deal with the peculiarities of the iPad but wonder if someone else has done work in that area also. I'll keep building on mine and will probably release a blank iPad template if there isn't already one.
