Nginx Cache Sprint at Drupalcon London
Nginx has 2 caches:
-
A proxy cache when you're proxying to another HTTP server.
-
A fastcgi cache when you're "proxying" to FastCGI.
This is a native cache not an external one. Hence you can get high performance caching without the additional complexity of having another moving part on your setup. Thus making potentially making things like Varnish superfluous.

Varnish <3 Release Parties Worldwide on June 16 2011
Hi everyone,
First thank you for the great software Drupal is and specially to the Drupal 7 Release Party team (in which this community website is based) and Varnish Cache users in this community that make the web a better place for us all :-)

Node.js code sprint
Node.js code sprint! You know you want one! Below is a (by no means) complete list of things we want to hack on:
- Improving the settings pages
- Improving documentation
- Making sockets writeable from client connections as well as from Drupal
- Adding Node.js integration to existing Drupal modules
- Working on Node.js server extension code
- Your idea here!
