Todo list related to the website for the drupal camp. I will try and keep this updated as I go along. Here are some goals and their status in relation to the setup.
TODO
- The last item shown in the authenticated user block is a link to http://drupalcampma.com/attending
This should be changed to http://drupalcampma.com/user/##/sessions to allow quick access to user sessions. - Get a view for admins to see how many people have added each session to their agenda.
- Need a way to email all registrants on the site. Either a mechanism on the site or a view with email addresses that we can export.
*DONE* COD (conference organizing distro) profile install
This is done. This gives us the foundation for Time slots, Sessions, Events like Lunch, Sponsor pages etc
Modify COD to fit our use case a bit better.
DONE -User does not have to "Buy" a registration
DONE -User just registers with the site and after logging in can choose Sessions. (Login Toboggan and reCatpcha)
DONE -Flags so they can quickly "Add to my Agenda" to attend a session
DONE -Easy way to Post a Session they want to Put on (of course this needs approval)
DONE -Easy way to Suggest a Session
-Report of Sessions
-Report of Sessions and Registrants
DONE -Easy way to mail users of the site.
DONE -Notification when Session is created or Suggested (Rules module)
Other Todo Items
PENDING WHO TO -Email setup so different people get emails depending on the item
--New Session added or suggested
--New User?
DONE -Domain name drupalcampma.com
DONE -Left Click is on the the Design so I will send them SFTP and drupal admin access today.
-I will release the site url soon so group members helping to run the event can register and add copy etc.
DONE -Logged in users can start a BOF OG to help organize/
-Time Field and Room field for BOFs
Questions
-Who should get notified if New sessions is added?
-Who should get notified if new person joins site
-Who should get notified if a sponsor submits a contact form from the site (if that happens)

Me (I think you have my email it is myfullname@gmail.com), and whoever else is interested.
-Who should get notified if new person joins site?
I don't think that's required.
re
I placed you in the session organizer role
This means you will get an email to the user account email when a session is added thanks to the Rules module

on a vps via host gator.
Performance is not on, I think, so it may be a little slow. I will turn it on after the theme is in place the Left Click is working on.

I need to start sending
I need to start sending people to the site to suggest sessions. Hopefully this is okay, I'm not broadcasting it yet though.
Best,

re
should be fine. I tested it and it is working but if you test it great.
I could add a different theme? Kelly may be doing some theme work as well.

I think BOFs should just be
I think BOFs should just be decided on a whiteboard at the camp. This has worked well at other camps and cons.
Not sure how it would starting with OG and getting a free room/time slot... would organizers try to schedule the BOFs last minute into open rooms?
If it is on the website, would it be better to just have them more like sessions and people could add them to their agenda?
Re: Just let me know
I can add a your Bofs tab or your Agenda tab to My Account.
Then I can add the cck fields to Bofs for rooms and timeslot etc.
Though we still do not know those.
Can bofs happen during a session or are they slotted somewhere else?

+1
If the sessions thing is easy w/o making it complicated for people to submit, let's do that.
Else, we could even just do a wiki for BoFs and give a template format like:
Topic: How to hack Drupal sites
Organizer: Kelly
Interested people: Jacob, John, Steve.
More info:
- SQL injection
- XSS attacks
- Case study: your mom's site....
And people could just copy paste this.
Or just not bother and have people sign-up at the event on a whiteboard :D
re
right now it is just a node, you make it and it creates with out much thought an Organic Group that others can see and join.
ps.
But I am open to what ever.

I removed captchas from login
I removed captchas from login and registration. Login is obviously not-needed. If anyone feels strongly we need a captcha for registration, we can put it back, but I don't feel like we need any barriers to adoption at the moment, nor are we likely to be a target for spam bots.
Do we need "session
Do we need "session suggestions"? I'm not sure what this feature is and I don't see anyone using it (but I could be wrong). Would be nice to reduce the # of things in the primary nav and the action links on the right
They had it at the CT drupal group site
And Kelly and a couple of other people suggested it.
Basically people can suggest what they want covered.
And there is some minor code right now to click "Take on Session Suggestion" so you can relate the two.
I wold say keep it just cause of past experience and feedback from people.

Added User Photo Support
this was nice on the CT site.
So it is the typical place in the drupal user account to upload an image.
Thanks

I added the distinct option to the review and set view by name and not random which should help with both.
Thanks for the heads up!

Theme adjustment
The new theme looks great. It needs a slight adjustment on the groups page.

User sessions modification
The last two columns (replies & last post) at http://drupalcampma.com/user/##/sessions should be modified to display session room # and time slot. This will provide a user with a view of their agenda for the day.
done. I dont know why views
done. I dont know why views wont let me sort by time slot.
I've made the "your agenda"
I've made the "your agenda" view now sort by Time Slot, so it is now actually chronologically correct.

Can you send me your uid on the site and I'll make you an admin so you can change it?

This should be changed to http://drupalcampma.com/user/##/sessions to allow quick access to user sessions.
Drupal Camp Orgnizational List (An attempt at organization)
I put the items we discussed last night on a Google Doc that I published publicly (hope that's OK) so all could see. I gave edit/share privileges to all Web Admins and anyone with an assignment. I'd like to link to this from the site and also have specific information that we build together on that site as well. This is a first draft so if there are things you'd like to make it more usable, go for it.
To view: https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0As-iXJGc_VCMdHo3aU04cGwwZ250b2V...
If you want to volunteer to do something that is listed here or have other things we need to be tracking, just take it on. If the task says "In Progress" it means we've started it.
The next (and likely final) organizational meeting prior to Camp is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, January 20th, 6PM. Location TBD.
