My motorcycle group is doing a donation distribution ride to help those families who have lost everything in the Bastrop fire. It really hits home as I look off my front porch at the scorched earth no more than 50 yards from my house and thing about how lucky we were. So, anyone interested in donating anything to the cause bring it to the dojo on Thursday. If you've got time and transportation, we're doing a collection of stuff at the Bike Night at Twin Peaks in Round Rock, Thursday night.
Donation Items: 'Anything and Everything'
CASES OF WATER
PILLOWS
Blankets
Clothes
Male/Female hygene
Children's school supplies (backpack, paper, pens/pencils, etc)
Non-perishable food items
Etc
And don't forget our furry friends. I'll likely be picking up bags of dog and/or cat food for the event.

Mavericks Car Club - Saturday (09/10/11) in Lockhart
The fire was far worse than most people are thinking. The smoke cloud alone was massive. Four of my friends within Bastrop lost their homes, and the fires are slowly encroaching on Smithville.
It was eerily disturbing Sunday night to see the sunset on the horizon........ at 3am. From the fire burning three miles away.
The Lockhart Car Club will also be accepting donations at O'Reilly's in Lockhart on Saturday.
