Hi, Im new to Drupal. I have decided to try my hands on Drupal after a year experience with Joomla on my personal site. But this year, I have a project for my school website. I have already installed Drupal 6 using Fantastico Deluxe to the website http://smpaphm.net. I just found out about DrupalEd and downloaded the latest version. I have few questions if you don't mind give me some help.
1)How can I update my drupal site to DrupalEd?
2)Can I just move the folder "move to web" to the present drupal directory in my server?
3)Do I need to change the mysql and phpadmin settings?
Thanks for your attention.

Azralyn,
You don't need to change any of your core Drupal settings to make use of Drupal in the classroom.
I've just adapted a standard Drupal installation to an education site using Bill's fantastic book as my guide. The work to do this consists of installing a series of modules and configuring them to enable your site to offer yourself and your students a whole range of interactive communications tools and the means to track these conversations.
I purchased the book directly as a download from the publisher, so I didn't have to wait for the mails to lose it.
There are a number of us who have worked our way through the book and who'd be happy to help answer your questions.
Alternatively, you could do as many have done, including myself last year, and start by using just a handful of modules and configure a site that way. There is a discussion here of what modules people recommend.
Good luck! Ask Questions!
thanks dbc but somehow I
thanks dbc but somehow I managed to update it myself. I followed the instruction with luck, updated the mysql database with the DrupalEd. It looks to be ok. What's next? I'm looking on tweaking it to suit our school's need. We already have a moodle site up running at edu.smpaphm.net. I may use the Drupal site for mostly on info about our school.
