I was thinking we could go over imagebrowser and some other image modules to help make uploading and dealing w/ images a bit nicer.
http://drupal.org/project/imagebrowser

It is a a really good looking modules and works with views and image module.

Also lightbox2 and imageresizer help to top it off.

I've been using imce and imce image attach cause clients want to see the images they are attaching but there are lots of limitations. I started using image browser on a recent job and could share how to install it, theme the images for lightbox and have it work w/ fckeditor.

Soon it will also work with cck

I'm interested.

(If the meetup is early enough in the month to make it.)

Whoa! It must be fate. I just assigned my programmer to get this to work with cck. What do you know about getting imagebrowser to work with cck?

There are threads on this

in that module area. Seems though they are not focusing on that as I was hoping.
My ideal would be to attach the cck field image but instead of the user seeing the boring list of image names they would see the image.

This module, for now, seems to focus on inserting images into the node while making an image node at the same time.

bummer....

I think this could be coded though by figuring out this module enough to know what calls it needs to place the say node reference cck field.

Oh yeah
