I am still learning Drupal but wanted to ping the education community for some suggestions on themes you would recommend for a district website. Either something you have used or saw that you thought would fit well. I don't mind having to do some customization, etc. Thanks!

Joomla school site I built - looking for similar layout

I would recommend the NewsFlash theme: http://drupal.org/project/newsflash. Have a look at the demo: http://demo.roopletheme.com/newsflash . I think with a little tweaking it could be very similar to what you have now. It offers some nice configuration options via its admin page, which saves you the time of editing the code directly.
