Does anyone know of a module or technique that tracks user progress through a curriculum? (see attached) I am using Quiz module to track when people pass/fail a test; however, some of my content involves watching a video or reading a page. Thanks in advance.

Ahhhh user progression...

I've toyed with something like this before where I'd take the user stats, tracker and page hits type of data, use a taxonomy term or whatever to flag that something was a milestone, and then work from that information to generate visualizations for students. I'm going to be rolling something like this into the Assignment Studio (D6...due out in Fall) for assignments so that students can have an overview of what's been done, when, and what's left to be done. I've always wanted to venture into this realm but it's going to require a glue module to get all the data presented in one place in a meaningful way I think. Views on it's own can only go so far, though I think something like Views Calc (I think that's the name of it...) lets you use php to build calcuated values for fields so a "you did it" kinda message could be displayed if you generated a view based on taxonomy....just thinkin' out-loud here.

You can use the Tracker module, to start. Bill Fitzgerald's book has a whole chapter on how to extend tracking beyond the tracker mod. It's well worth the money.

It would be great if there were some way to integrate tracking with the Gradebook module.
