Kicking back on the last night

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

There's only so much one can see of Texas between Austin's airport and convention center, but there's a great not-so-secret-to-Austinites barbecque pit about 30 minutes outside of the city, deep in the hill country. It's a great way to see the countryside if you're from out of town. And if you're feeling like I do -- tired of loud parties and crowds -- it's also the perfect opportunity to kick back.

Cost: If you want the all-you-can-eat family-style option (which we recommend), just bring $20. You can also order from the menu. Cash only. The Salt Lick is BYOB, so we may stop by a beer or liquor store on the way.

Getting there: The Salt Lick has directions posted on their website. We'll also provide rides to people without vehicles.

Time: Not too long after all panels are finished for the day (6pm). I need to hear back from at least a few people that are going before I can really commit to going myself, anyway.

Sorry for the repost. Wiki pages apparently don't allow comments, and I think they're necessary for this.

Please RSVP if you'd like to go so I can justify the trip.

Inclement weather

It's far too wet out in Driftwood to enjoy an outdoor evening, so I'll have to cancel tonight's BBQ plans.

There is an in-door salt lick

There is another salt lick in davenport that is mostly indoor seating only. Its a little more dressy than the one out in the middle of nowherez ville, but very good food, its also not -all you can eat-.
