This group is aimed at all German speaking Drupal users and developers. It is a central place of information exchange, e.g. regarding events in Germany, coordination of meetings, marketing and everything else related to the German Drupal community.
Drupal Community Cultivation Grants
The Drupal Association recently announced the Drupal Community Cultivation Grants - a new program designed to provide financial support to Drupal event organizers.
While full details are available at the link above, I wanted to make sure this group knew about the program - please spread the word to aspiring event organizers. Raising the initial funds can often be a large hurdle - this program aims to lower the barrier of entry for organizers.

Call for Helpers - DrupalCamp Berlin 2011, 17.-18.09.2011
Wie gestern beim DUB Treffen besprochen brauchen wir für das DrupalCamp in Berlin eure Unterstützung. Wie Marco und Ronald schon angekündigt haben, brauchen wir u.a. Leute, die als Chairmen für die Tracks und Sessions mithelfen wollen, Leute die uns beim Empfang zur Seite stehen, beim Auf- und Abbau, usw.

Dort kann sich jeder, der mitmachen möchte, ein Account erstellen und einfach schreiben was er/sie gerne machen würde und/oder Tipps geben.

Am 2., 3. und 4. September 2011 findet in der Schweiz in Luzern das erste Drupal Commerce Camp statt. Der dreitägige Anlass zeigt Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Drupal für moderne Unternehmen. Frisch und informativ wie ein Drupal Camp, wendet es sich aber nicht nur an Entwickler und Anwender aus der Drupal Community, sondern an Geschäftsführer, Manager und Projektverantwortliche aus Agenturen, Medienhäusern, NGOs und Unternehmen.

DUG Köln & Bonn Treffen am 15.6.2011
Nach langer Zeit haben wir endlich wieder einen Termin für ein Drupal User Group Treffen festgelegt.
Wir würden uns sehr freuen, möglichst viele Drupal-Interessierte am 15.6.2011 um 19 Uhr im betahaus Köln (Venloer Straße 151-153, 50672 Köln) zu treffen.
Für den Abend haben wir uns einige Neuerungen überlegt. Zum einen möchten wir einige Sessions des Abends im Voraus planen. Außerdem sollen an den Abenden sowohl Themen für Entwickler als auch für Designer und professionelle Anwender angeboten werden.

Drupal Mai Wanderung 2011
Hallo zusammen,
es ist wieder soweit, am 1. Mai wird von Mitgliedern der DUG München wieder die Drupal Wanderung in den Mai veranstaltet. Diesmal geht die Wanderung an den Tegernsee. Die Idee ist, dass neben der leichten Rundwanderung in herrlicher Umgebung auch interessante Diskussionen über Drupal geführt und Erfahrungen ausgetauscht werden. Am Ende der Wanderrunde besteht die Möglichkeit im Biergarten des Tegernseer Klosterbräus den Tag mit einem kurzen High-Performance-Vortrag (genaues Thema wird noch nicht verraten) ausklingen zu lassen.

DrupalCamp Kyiv 2011, June 3-4
DrupalCamp Kyiv 2011 will take place on June 3-4, 2010 in Kyiv, in an i-klass venue at Lavrskaya st., 16 (former Ivan Mazepa, 34). Our goal is to make this event a real festival for drupallers by adding a pinch of organization and preserving a friendly and informal atmosphere of previous conferences.
So, two days, four streams, six reports and presentations in each amount to about 50 free topics. In addition, this time we hope to make our schedule more hectic by pre-determining the reports. One of the streams will fully belong to English-speaking guests, and besides, we’ll have a special guest ;)
Just like last time, the main conference will be preceded with a series of paid trainings (presumably, one basic and one advanced) that will allow to better prepare for the main event.
But that's not all. This time there will be two special events – translators’ sprint and code-sprint, where everyone can make their contribution to Drupal.
Previous camp experience shows that a solid level of event’s organization requires substantial investments, that’s why this time we are forced to introduce fee for participating in the camp. We hope that a symbolic price of 100 UAH (about 12 USD for early registration) won’t stop you from attending such a rare event. You can pay for participation through the website, as well as on the day of the conference (but the price will be considerably higher).
And, of course, there is no way we can do it without our sponsors - this year we decided to make the possibility of sponsorship much more affordable for everyone by reducing the amount of contribution by almost 4 times! For the terms of sponsorship please visit the sponsor page.

Wir laden Euch ein, am 12. März 2011 gemeinsam mit uns einen Tag rund um Drupal zu gestalten.
Das Institut für Informatik der Universität Rostock wird uns beherbergen. Ab 9 Uhr ist Einlass, die Veranstaltung wird 10 Uhr beginnen. Nach dem eigentlichen Drupal Day steht uns der Klub "Klock 8" für ausgiebiges Socializing zur Verfügung.

Creating Groups with Drupal
I am trying to create a group which has similar features to http://www.amazee.com/node/6730/wall. I am doing it with organic groups and 80% of the functionality can be done out of the box this this module. My questions to advanced devs would be:
- Do you recommend using any other module besides organic groups?
- In organic groups if you view the discussions page of a certain group, it shows threads the amount of comments in (). How would you do the feature like in the link above to allow multiple comments showing up on the "wall"?
