A little over a year ago I implemented Drupal as the main teaching platform in my university classes. I am sharing what it has become so far, and would appreciate feedback:
I still consider this very much a work in progress, but I am proud of the work we (my students and I) have presented so far. I am using Moodle as a co-platform for grading and testing only. Otherwise, the main interaction and classwork takes place on the Drupal installation. More information about the concept is on the About page at http://www.unicommons.com/main-menu/about And, the site was designed to specifically support my teaching philosophy at http://www.unicommons.com/instructor/brian-sather/my-university-teaching...
This Drupal in Education group was helpful as I developed the concept into a website. Thanks for all of your work toward applying Drupal as a pedagogical tool.
I look forward to your responses. Also, feel free to contact me directly at www.BrianSather.com
Edit: After posting this originally, I remembered that some of the important features of the site are not available unless you are logged in as an authenticated user. These include the views I have set up for convenient access to content including My Unread (which I'm sure you're familiar with, but with some extra tabs for collaborations and other projects) and My Work (also with extra tabs for different types of content and comments). I also have a chat module and other blocks that only show to authenticated users. If you're interesting in having a look, please contact me directly and I'll set up an account for you. Also, some of the special features are shown in a screencast I have at http://www.unicommons.com/instructor/tutorials/navigating-my-group
