Here are some follow thoughts from last night.
1. HTML5 I purchased this book http://books.alistapart.com/product/html5-for-web-designers should be in some time August.
There are so many others coming out by a like the List Apart team.
2. Wow just noticed I could upload a photo into my drupal site via the web browser via Android (not iphone though). Really nice. It even gave me the options to take a photo and put it right into the page.
3. Speaking of Titanium for html/css/javascript programming and exporting it to Android/iPhone apps there is a group at groups.drupal.org about it http://groups.drupal.org/titanium-api
4.Would like to recommend this book for iPhone HTML/CSS programming http://building-iphone-apps.labs.oreilly.com/ it has been going well using it on my drupal project management site. Though now I use an Android phone I will have to see about that.
5. Accessibility we are working on a project http://macula.rvtc.us it is based on fusion themes (http://drupal.org/project/fusion) due to advice from the TopNotch Themes company since it is using em for fonts and other things to make it more friendly to this. The modules to change font size and color TextSize Module http://drupal.org/project/textsize

I appreciated the warm welcome and good conversation at my first meetup. I will be following up your excellent suggestions as I get deeper into these projects.
