Welcome to the Drupal Ottawa User Group. We will use this group to develop the Drupal community in Ottawa, to plan local events (DrupalCamps, informal get-togethers, etc.) and to share success stories and planned / completed drupal implementations. Public servants (this is Ottawa after all) interested in deploying bilingual / Common Look & Feel compliant governmental web sites will find colleagues in this group facing the same challenges related to the introduction of drupal in the federal government.

Read moreSuggestions on creating HRIS/Leave Management capabilities on my D7 site
Hi,
I manage a D7 site for my organization and I'm looking into whether it's possible to add some basic HR functionality to the site/user accounts.
What I'd like to accomplish:
Give users a leave "bank" for multiple types of leave (vacation, sick, etc.). User would pull from this bank when they submit a request for time off.
Allow users to submit time off requests that, when approved, subtract the requested hours from their bank(s).

A while ago I was requested to add admins to this group, I gave up because I did not know how (I know, incredible).
kathc was kind enough to find out how to do it, so I added her - and also because of her role in the Ottawa Drupal community.
Going forward, elected members of the ODA could become members, just drop me a line via my contact form.
Happy to see Ottawa drupal thrive! ;)
