Portland (Oregon)

Welcome to the Portland, Oregon Drupal Users Group. We have (at least) three official meetups every month.

1. Meetings take place every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6pm. Upcoming meeting dates and locations are:

2. The Drupal Front End Meetup happens every third Thursday of the month. This group is focused on the theming and design aspects of Drupal development. Come nerd out with us over CSS, Javascript, theme functions and other interesting front-end tools. This meetup is held at the Clarity Innovation offices at 1001 SE Water Avenue, Suite 400.

3. Brewpal takes place on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5pm at a rotating location around Portland. We meet, work on our projects, and ask questions of our neighbors with no formal agenda.

No need to RSVP, the meetings are open to all.

We're also on IRC in #drupal-pdx on freenode.net

JetBrains sponsors our meetup by raffling away 1 free PhpStorm license every meetup (2nd Wednesday).

Portland sprint during the Global Sprint Weekend Jan. 25-26?

The current wiki page for the sprint has zero on the west coast (and in fact nothing in the U.S. west of Minneapolis).

Could we organize something for Portland?

I'm a freelancer with no office space, so I realize I'm suggesting other shops put out some resources here :) But I think it would be great to have Portland participating in this. And if we get a location figured out, we can announce it during all the January meetups.

Thoughts?

Organizers:
Event type:
User group meeting

You may have heard that we're not having Brewpal this month, but don't despair! You can still get your Drupal socializing and drinking and merry-making on Friday, Dec 27th at Drupal Happy Hour.

We'll meet at Pints (NW 5th Ave between Flanders and Glisan. map) because I've heard from numerous people that they make really good beer and Drupal Happy Hour is a good time to verify this.

Seeking an all-around web developer who wants to do good work for a national non-profit, and wouldn't mind doing it while living the good life on the Oregon Coast (or - at least - commuting on a regular basis).

We're seeking a full-time web developer with Drupal experience. As a member of our small team, you'll play an integral part in our organization. We're looking for someone with a passion to use technology -- and Drupal specifically -- to bring together a community that is historically disconnected and disempowered - young people in foster care.
