Portland (Oregon)

Welcome to the Portland, Oregon Drupal Users Group. We have (at least) three official meetups every month.

  2. The Drupal Front End Meetup happens every third Thursday of the month. This group is focused on the theming and design aspects of Drupal development. Come nerd out with us over CSS, Javascript, theme functions and other interesting front-end tools. This meetup is held at the Phase2 offices at 514 NW 11th ave, Suite 203, Portland, OR.

  3. Brewpal takes place on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5pm at a rotating location around Portland. This month (February 24), will be at the SE branch of the Lucky Lab (915 SE Hawthorne). We meet, work on our projects, and ask questions of our neighbors with no formal agenda.

No need to RSVP, the meetings are open to all.

We're also on IRC in #drupal-pdx on freenode.net

September Drupal User Group

Start:
2013-09-11 18:00 - 20:00 America/Los_Angeles
Organizers:

With all the recent lightning and thunderstorms, it made me realize that we haven't had a lightning talk DUG in a while. So, this month Jesse will be kicking off the DUG with a short demo of the Custom Formatters module. Following that, we'll open things up to anyone who wants to give a 5 minute (or less) presentation.

Post a comment below if you'd like to give a lightning talk or if you'd like to present at a future DUG.

Zoundation Orbit Question

The slideshow works. Huzzah! However, in addition to the previous and next arrows and the bullets, my client wants a text "More" link to also advance to the next slide. I'm about half way through my Javascript lessons and this is over my head. Anyone available to help? Do I need to write an extra JavaScript function, edit a tpl.php file?

Theme Suggestions

The site I've been working on is getting close to completion, huzzah! I'm having loads more success with Zoundation; thanks very much to the funny monkeys et al.

Short of buying most of my co-workers a MacBookAir, how would you approach the discrepancies between the two screen captures shown? For example, the graphics missing from MSIE8 are all SVGs.

Would you toss an alternative theme at the MSIE 8 crowd?
Would you add modernizr tests?
Or is there a better approach that hasn't occured to me?

TIA

Poor Soul Who Knows Zencart | Freelance

Employment type:
Contract
Telecommute:
Allowed

Know Zencart? I'm sorry you had to endure the things you have to get this skillset, but good news! There is a company that has a wildly outdated and hack-jobbed Zencart setup (aren't they all...) in need of help overhauling their system, security updates, resolving PHP errors and warnings that occasionally show up... the usual Zencart fiasco.

I'm employed and swamped in freelance side work already, so I can't take the task on. However, if you've got the skillsets and the time reach out to rtaculad@allpointsco.com and tell her why you're awesome for the job :)
