This is a local user group for sharing knowledge about Drupal and networking with other folks in the greater Seattle web/tech community.
SeaDUG meets monthly to talk about Drupal, to plan related events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
We welcome participants from all skill levels and all disciplines related to website building and development - marketers, project managers, developers, designers, writers, devops, user researchers, QA, and more.

Hi Oly/Seattle and Chicago Drupal folks. I am posting this in the hopes that someone local has a bit of time and the skill to assist us.
We have a project for a major NFL fan site that has a very tight timeline and we could really use another pair of hands on the backend API integration pieces.
We have a lead developer and would very much like to add another to supplement and meet the deadline of July 24.
Please email cmcgrath@celebratedrupal.com to discuss rate and availability. Thanks!
Read moreDrupal Theme
Hi all,
As some of you recommend, I will use Pantheon as my hosting. The next step is choosing the theme for Drupal Site. At this point, I have checked out themes from Drupal.org. But after installing some of them, I find that only part of the theme will display comparing to demos.

Hi all,
Currently I will potentially start a project with Drupal. Before starting the project, I should find a good hosting server. But this is my first time to build website with Drupal, I don't have too much knowledge to find the right hosting server. Hope any of you could provide me some suggestions, recommandations or resource about Drupal hosting server. Any of comments will be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you!

Hi all! Thanks for a very informative and entertaining meeting last week. I will definitely be attending the NW Drupal Summit (Seattle) and further SeattleDUG meetings. I was the new, younger guy in the back. Even though many of the concepts were foreign to me and still are, I felt like I got key insights into Drupal workflow and terminology.

Hi guys,
It was great to meet some of you this past Thursday at the meetup.
As I said there, I am currently working with a small indie games studio, and one of the things we need/want to do is to take the existing site we have and migrate it from the current Joomla 'thing' that was built by me with a half-baked knowledge of Joomla based on a site/theme I'd initially built for the company with hand-crafted PHP/HTML and move it to something that has the power and flexibility that Drupal seems to afford (and hopefully avoid to many pitfalls in the process).

I'm currently looking to improve my resume and get a certification.
Acquia has several certification programs. I'm mostly interested in the Developer certification.
Does anyone have experience taking one of these?
I understand certifications mean little in our field and at the end of the day, experience is what gets you hired. However I can see the benefit for an employer to request this certification to estimate a potential candidate's knowledge.

Read moreMailing Service for Drupal discussed in user group couple of months ago
There was a presentation at the users group 2 or 3 months back about a good alternative to sending emails directly out of Drupal using services on the hosting server. I cannot remember what that was. Can someone let me know what it was and point me to (or send) any notes you had on configuration and implementation? Thanks!

Daytime meeting?
Would anyone be interested in an occasional daytime meeting? My schedule pretty much rules out evening meetings, but a lunchtime meeting would be great. I could probably host also, if people don't mind crossing the lake to downtown Bellevue - it's a short trip at lunchtime! But Seattle is fine too if we can find a location.
