This is a local user group for sharing knowledge about Drupal and networking with other folks in the greater Seattle web/tech community.
SeaDUG meets monthly to talk about Drupal, to plan related events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
We welcome participants from all skill levels and all disciplines related to website building and development - marketers, project managers, developers, designers, writers, devops, user researchers, QA, and more.
Stay in Touch
- Join the SeaDUG Slack workspace to chat regularly with other SeaDUG community members.
- Follow us on LinkedIn for more frequent news and Drupal-related content sharing.
Jobs
PLEASE do not post job offers in this group unless they are local to Seattle, or remote and open to people who live in Seattle. Any job posted to this group that is not in the Seattle/Puget Sound Metropolitan Area or open to its residents will be promptly removed.
Consultants/vendors
Social Media contractors?
I know this isn't exactly related to Drupal but can anyone recommend contractors in these two (very different) areas?
(1)Social media, as in Twitter applications, Facebook applications, Foursquare development, et cetera. (2)Technology support for file-sharing, an Exchange server, VPN, email accounts, hardware setup, networking, et cetera.
We're looking for help in a few areas. Since this is an active group with a real world location, I though you may have recommendations. Thanks in advance for any links. :)

Looking for a LMS developer with Articulate, Captvate, and Lectora experience
Hi All,
An associate of mine is producing a project that will incorporate several hours of video in an LMS for use by medical doctors. I know that it will probably also use 'Articulate', 'Captvate', and 'Lectora, though I don't know much more than that at this time. I'm looking for recommendations for people who've created and deployed LMS sites that I can pass along. It's a single contract gig.
Thanks!

Read moreAssistance for beginner
I just caught part of the July meeting and was wondering if there might be someone to help a beginner with basic questions about content posting, theming, and security. It looked like a great group, but perhaps beyond my skill set at the moment, though I would like to observe if possible. I have a test site under development, have read the basic Drupal 7 books, and am able to import and update modules, but would like some tutoring on the above mentioned issues. I would be happy to trade whatever would be useful for the tutoring. Thanks.

Seattle Drupal Clinic 2011
I am posting to follow up on some discussion at SEADUG and get the ball rolling on organizing a clinic this year.
We would ideally like to have the clinic at least 3 weeks prior to the Summit which is Oct 14-16. I am going to propose some dates and some ideas about organizing below - please leave comments with your thoughts.
IMO we should try as best we can to do what we did last year as I think it went really well.

Over the next few months we will be changing up the format of our monthly meeting by adding two slots for presentations on beginner and advanced topics in Drupal 7. The presentation should be about 15 to 20 minutes long, plus 10 to 15 minutes for questions. Presenters should prepare a few slides and/or demo.
If you are interested in presenting on a topic, please add your name and topic to this wiki page, and if there is a particular month that you want to present, please indicate that.
