4.7 --> 6 Image Content disaster. please help.
hi.
we just upgraded from 4.7 to 6. very happy with D6 UI and now happy with calendar/views (after some struggling). 2 problems re: images.
1) in 4.7, we used the image module and embedded images using TinyMCE into nodes (events and stories). when i upgraded to 6 (and updated to the latest Image module, none of our image nodes are showing the old images. they are still all there on the server, and i can manually embed them with WSIWYG, but why wont they show up on their own nodes? (i have checked permissions, btw). please help!
Read moreInternet Blackout NZ
Over the last week Twitter and Facebook users across New Zealand and the world, have been blacking out their avatars in protest of S92A, a change in New Zealand's copyright law that will require ISPs to disconnect any user accused of copyright infringement. No proof or evidence is required, just accusation. This is a terrible law for many reasons, which are well documented on CreativeFreedom.org.nz, and elsewhere.
The online protest stimulated and supported a physical protest in Wellington outside the Beehive (beehive.govt.nz is a Drupal website) (NZ's parliamentary buildings) last Thursday. It inspired others to follow-up with a website blackout event today, Monday 23 February. I already partially blacked out my blog last week, however this blackout will be more thorough than my website-decolouration or 'grey-out'.
I have created a Drupal module to help any Drupal websites owners quickly blackout their website, if they want to participate. Currently it's only a Drupal 6 module, however if anyone really wants it for their Drupal 5 website and doesn't have the technical skills to backport it, I may help out with this.
Read moreHooks: Drupal 6 Vs Drupal 5
Hi Guys,
I was doing a review on the hooks provided by drupal 5 and drupal 6. Most of the hooks are same, except a few which i tried to put down in a document. I needed this to be able to port my custom modules to drupal 6 [i'm still using drupal 5]. So, I thought why not make a document of this and share with everyone else :) I have attached the document. The document contains only those hooks which are in either of the drupal installations and not both.
The major differences that i see in drupal 6 are:
- Actions is integrated with the core.

I'm setting up a website with Acquia Drupal for a non-profit club. It needs an Events Calendar. The latest release of Acquia Drupal uses Drupal 6.8 and the latest versions of Calendar and Date modules. I followed this recipe found at:
http://drupal.org/node/326061#comment-1077193 and set up the Events Calendar. It looks OK but has a major flaw.
Updating Station module for D6
Just wanted to let everyone know that I've finally started updating the Station module to Drupal 6. You can follow the issue here: http://drupal.org/node/250533
At this point the core station, catalog, playlist and program modules have been updated. I'm working on the schedule module right now and probably won't get going on the archive module for a little while.
