We were talking about Organic Groups at June's meeting, and Julia and Ken mentioned this humorous presentation from Drupalcon Copenhagen.

Addendum: Julia wants to add this video about Organic Groups and Panels, and the integration thereof.

Earlier this year at DrupalCon Chicago, the G.D.O NYC team first met to start work on bringing DrupalCon to the Big Apple. After many weekly meetings, late nights and re-arranged schedules we’ve got some wind our sales with a theme selected, venues explored and other many other steps underway.

Education is increasingly recognised as a major and growing need for the growing Drupal community. During DrupalCons educational BoFs are very common, but we may need more structure to collaborate on the diversity of challenges for education.

I've looked through the proposed sessions at DrupalCon London 2011 and extracted some (including 2 of mine) that could be particularly relevant to people interested (in one way or another) in Drupal and education. Please give your votes to those you might be interested in.

if you like to help with Drupalgangers' activities in London, please consider joining the team as a volunteer.

If anyone wants to join London team it would be great, please do. There will be lots of free activities, picnics, boat rips and tours for Drupalcon attendees and Drupalgangers this year. Please let me know if you have any suggestions about site-seeing or things you want to do in London.
