Live user journeys demo and comparison of Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla
Hagen Graf did an excellent live usability test at the unconference immediately before DrupalCon Copenhagen. He's a a tech writer well versed in all three of Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal, so he was able to draw out the strength and weaknesses of getting started with each platform.

Hey folk!
I'm booked in for Drupalcon!
I love Denmark, and am looking forward to it. Will be catching up with the Euro RDF superstars, and looking out for the latest with Drush and other heavy-duty tech talks.
Any other Kiwis making it all that way?
Read moreChildcare option for Drupalcon Chicago?
Based on my own experience, and on conversations at Drupalcon San Francisco, I think on-site child care may be a well received option at Drupalcon Chicago. It does require some space, and organization. I could help with the organizing, and raising money for the childcare and space. This does not mean that it would not cost parents who use the service in addition to their registration fees, but hourly childcare is much cheaper than a nanny full-time plus travel expenses.

The DrupalCon North American Regional Organizing Group is looking for input from us, the Drupal community, to help pick the location for DrupalCon North America being scheduled for 2012 (and beyond). They have put together a brief “straw poll” intended to gauge community interest about various cities that have been suggested as potential good locations by our event management company. Vote however you wish, but I'd like to point out that the list does already have a few West coast cities, like Las Vegas, and many of us wouldn't mind to see DrupalCon nearby again.
Read moreTotally unscientidfic attendance prediction for DrupalCon Boston

I completely realize that there's no rigorous scientific method to this, but I'd thrown it together in an effort to convince someone that Drupal was not a risk and was on the upswing. My argument was that the real strength of a CMS was evidenced by its developer community.
NOTE:
WordCamp SF (May 2010): 770 attendees
DrupalCon SF (Apr 2010): 3000 attendees
No Google Maps API sessions at DrupalCon Copenhagen or any DrupalCon at all?
Sad to read that there will be NO sessions about this subject http://cph2010.drupal.org/news/initial-program. I had really hoped someone would have made such but I think it's because that there still not is any map module that really do the job. A lot of you have been struggling to make such modules and I wish I were good enough understanding Drupal and PHP to make such too but I'm not (at the moment). :-(
That's why I have made my site without any map module and it's functioning great but don't know if I will get any problems in the future but hope not?
