Austin meetup...
So. I'm just throwing this out there. Looking at the members on the Austin Drupal Users Group, both here and on LinkedIN, it is very apparent that we have quite the Drupal community. Just a simple glance shows that we have a wide range of experiences and skill levels. I think this could prove valuable to all of us, both technically, and as a means of networking. It's been a while since we have had a meet up, and I simply want to query the amount of interest there is in having another one. Perhaps then we can facilitate a more active A-DUG.

I was curious if there is anything going on Drupal-wise around the first week or so of August. I'm in Las Vegas but have a ton of friends in the Austin area and I'll be coming through there like August 6-8th-ish.. was wondering if there might be a meet-up in the works or something.

Hi all,
I'm looking for a seasoned Drupal development person (or team) who can help with some non-trivial module development and integration into my Drupal site. Prefer Austin-area folks since that's where I'm located (for the face to face interaction).
Please drop me a line if you're that person/team, or to make a referral. Let me know what module(s) you've developed previously, examples of Drupal sites you have done, etc.
Email: matt@door64.com.
Thanks!
Matt

Read moreFormatting issue using Bare Bones by 4kitch
I am posting this here in hopes that someone else has worked with Todd's BareBones theme and can provide some insight into my issue.. I've got a background-image on the footer that looks fine in FF, but the footer itself is shifted left ~24px (or a couple em's?) in IE6. I think it works fine in IE7 but haven't yet tested there.
The site underway:
dev.luigispatioristorante.com
(preferred not to be linked.. keeps the crawlers away)
Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I've packaged and uploaded the three themes we discussed at recent meetings (Nirvana, Nirvana Skeleton, and Barebones): files.fourkitchens.com/drupal.
IMPORTANT: These are unofficial, marginally untested, alpha releases! Official versions of the themes will be uploaded to Drupal's CVS when we're completely happy with them. Your mileage may vary!

Tonight's Austin Drupal meeting was the first I attended. And I enjoyed it. I'm especially glad to see follow-up meetings set for CiviCRM, Basic Drupal Installation, and Theming -- for this June.
As I said at the meeting, around the country there is interest on the part of public access and community media in Drupal.
Here is a website where some of this development is described:
www.pegspace.org
On this site, it mentions Manhattan Neighbohood Networks' work with CiviCRM.

DATE CHANGE. Austin Drupal Users Group Monthly Meetup, TUESDAY, June 5, 2007, 7-9 pm, Four Kitchen Studios
EDIT dated 5/30/07. I'm hoping someone with Drupal experience will step forward and give a short "Welcome to Drupal" presentation at the meetup on Tuesday. In addition, I'm hoping a few folks step forward and volunteer to give module presentations and/or overviews. If you plan on presenting something, could you please add a short blurb below as to what you will cover for the meetup? Thank you!
