We had a very productive Distro Summit at SANDcamp this week https://www.sandcamp.org/drupal-distribution-summit There was an excellent dialog on both technical and business topics. There was distro maintainer representation from Acquia, Phase2, LevelTen, Four Kitchens, ChapterThree, ImageX, Lullabot and many others. There were 46 attendees who engaged in a full day discussion on various topics. We will be holding another Distro Summit later this year. I am writing a summary and resource document for distro maintainers and the community. It should be available within two weeks.

Are there any member associations using Drupal Commons?
We are looking at it, but would like to see a site that has implemented it.
We are a bar association, so another bar would be ideal, but would love to see any examples of professional or other member organizations.

We are looking to implement a Drupal Commons site where there are different regional groups, as well as Topic Groups.

I want to have a paid subscription service whereas users can have their own store and sell downloadable products.
Ideally to also retain a percentage of said sales.

I have been using Drupal from the beginning, however we are not so used to OG ( organic Groups )

Hosting-ul pe care l-am folosit este de web simplu ( fara tuning pt. drupal ) doar max script mem este de 64M fata de 32 cum este standard in conturile cele mai ieftine precum acesta. Ao seleccionar os filtros "Node: Type" e "Organic Groups: Group Types" numa view que tenha uma relação com "Organic groups: Group node" o query gerado pela preview contém algo como:

A 3ª condição não devia ser algo diferente de node.type, uma vez que esta entra em "conflito" com a 1ª? Read more

My organization is looking at developing a listserv that integrates with our Drupal website, and which has a fairly user-friendly interface, as well as an archive and search function. We are also considering whether Drupal Commons might be a solution for implementing the listserv. One difficulty is finding sample listservs and websites that can help us think about functionality and design. Would anyone know of sample sites using Drupal listservs? Thank you!

Hi All,

Just wanted to get your opinions on Drupal Commons and Open Atrium as an intranet solution. I've googled and found quite a few results, but I wanted to get a more recent and closer opinion of these 2 install profiles.

My impressions:

Open Atrium (http://openatrium.com/)
Pros:

UI looks great - people are more likely to use it. Really, the UI (look & feel, not ux), is stunning.

Features that come right out of the box, specifically: shoutbox, case tracker, groups

Vi planerar för att starta upp en socialt inriktad webbplats för yrkesverksamma i ett par organisationer som ska kunna utbyta tankar och erfarenheter genom att bilda grupper som man kan gå med i efter intresse. http://drupal.org/project/quant seems to present some powerful graphs, that reads of the database. I have been reading and most of the information seems to point to data on a static table - not too useful in my opinion. In that case, do it in excel, get an image and upload it and you will be done with the torture that Drupal chart creation seems to be (for beginners at least).
