DrupalCamp

It's probably inevitable that sooner or later, Ottawa is going to have it's own Drupalcamp, perhaps with a major focus on government and NGOs. And because there's been quite a surge in government interest over the past year, I'm wondering whether this might be the year it happens.

With all the GoC buzz I'm pretty sure that there'd be a fair number of attendees, especially if it was held on a weekday (or Friday + Saturday), so the only question in my mind is whether there are enough people who could help with the organization of the event and could help with presentations and such.

The Brighton Digital Festival (http://2012.brightondigitalfestival.co.uk/) is on again this year and have extended deadline for entries for a week.

I'd previously tweeted that we were going to do it on the weekend of 21/22/23 September as this was in line with the next Drupal Global Training Days (we missed the first as I was in Portland) but I've since found out that the GTD is actually 14th - not sure if that was changed recently or I read the wrong thing.

We have the following sessions slated for Drupaldelphia, if you are interested in running any sessions, please submit a session, here(signup/sign in first)

En discutant avec Léon sur twitter on est arrivé à l'idée de partager des appartements sur airbnb pour le séjour à Lyon pendant le camp.

On peut prendre un appart pour 4 ou 5 et partager le loyer entre tous/toutes. Comme ça on arrive a se loger façon bon marché.

Ceux/Celles qui sont intéressées par ça peuvent intervenir dans ce topique de discussion ou m'envoyer an email pour mettre en marche les choses.

Nu på lördag är det dags för det första DrupalCampet i Göteborg! För er som missat vad det är så kan det sammanfattas med en hel dag fylld med föreläsningar om och kring Drupal med en avslutande middag och fest på kvällen. Allt detta för bara 100 kronor!

Med 20 ord eller färre: En Drupaldag med föreläsningar, fika och efterföljande fest för alla intresserade och för bara 100 spänn!

Med lite fler ord: För bara 100 kronor (community-fixat evenemang, därav det låga priset) kan du få lära dig mer om Drupal genom olika föresläsningar om Drupal och webben i sig. Träffa drupalister från när och fjärran, nätverka, fråga om Drupal och avsluta dagen med en fest för alla som varit med på campet.

We've had a great response to our request for sessions for the forthcoming DrupalCamp Brighton. This said, we'd like to have more so are extending the deadline for another week until 7pm UK time Weds 18th April.

Don't be shy - submit your session proposal today! You don't have to be a pro presenter, just be able to talk about a particular angle of Drupal you like, whether helping new users, presenting case studies, talking about a particular module or business process.
