Last week, about a week after I returned from DrupalCon Szeged, I attended DrupalCamp NYC, and as with most un-conferences, I left wondering "when can I get to one of those again?" So, I bought myself a plane ticket to San Francisco to hit up BADCamp (and chill with some Drupal friends whom I don't get to see nearly enough). And while I love an excuse to travel both near and far, it got me thinking, isn't it about time to hold a DrupalCamp Philly? Or, maybe we should reach beyond our borders and do a MADCamp (Mid-Atlantic Drupal Camp)?

Later is better than never, right? So here is the summary of the Drupal training and certification at the Szeged 2008 Drupalcon (you can also watch the video of the full session).

At drupalcon Szeged their was an interesting suggestion to define RDF for Drupal curriculums. Check the presentation.

Their was the suggestion to write down bullets of what need to be in the curriculum. To me however, their it is not yet enough clarity to start creating bullets. I'm looking forward to a discussion. Whatever your point, let this post be an invitation for a discussion.

I've been looking for some good training sessions as I get up to speed and I've heard very good things about Lullabot. I keep hoping they'd offer sessions a little closer to home than the upcoming sessions in Portland, OR and New Orleans, so I contacted Lullabot to ask and the reply I received was:

Minneapolis is a Drupal hot-bed of activity this summer!

Advantage Labs is conducting a special 5-week Nonprofit Drupal Website Training Class specifically designed for a small group of nonprofits. I'll be teaching a 17-week Drupal class at MATC this Fall, first time through, the main theme being module development with PHP. The prereqs are some background with html and css and a little php (or willingness to learn it quickly).
