January Lullabot Workshops in Providence, RI
Lullabot has another round of workshops coming up in January. We've got a great space in Providence, RI centrally located for people in both the Boston and New York areas -- and close to the airport for people coming from further away. Over the course of the week, we'll be building a single project – a Drupal-based CRM and attendees can sign up for individual workshops, or stay the whole week to see the project from beginning to end. Here's the rundown:

Hello, all,
On January 31 and February 1, I'll be running a two day training on using Drupal in the classroom. The training will be held in Philadelphia, at Science Leadership Academy.
So, if you're around Philadelphia and want to dig into using Drupal, come on down! These sessions are geared toward end users, as opposed to developers or site admins. The emphasis will be on training educators how to use Drupal in an online class or a blended learning environment.

I am in College Station, TX and am looking for low-level* Drupal training.
Is there anything nearby?
Would anyone care to share his/her experiences with any professional training he's received?
*or high-level, depending on what your use of the term. I'm referring to more than just installation-- advanced theming and api are a must.
Read moreMelbourne Tutorial - Intro to Drupal 5 Modules & CCK
Hi Melbournians
sammys and I would like to conduct an informal training seminar on Thursday 7th, in the late afternoon. In this tutorial, we'll go over some basics when it comes to building a module from scratch and also looking at how CCK can be used to make our work a bit easier.
This tutorial will be free, and a great chance for people with limited experience to get a head start on the basics. Please spread this word around any Drupal using, Non-profit orgs you know of.
We do need a venue, not too worried about location. The time we think will be between 2pm and 6pm. Yes, it's a bit last-minute but isn't everything that's good in life? For example, I always drop my kids off late to school...

Hi Guys,
I've been talking to team Lullabot about the possibility of running an Asian Drupal Conference here in Australia, and have received some positive feedback from their team. As a developer here in Australia, I have been keen for myself and the rest of my team to attend the famous Lullabot seminars, but due to distance, costs and Visa restriction post 911 have found the prospect of traveling to America not viable.
After listening to the Podcasts from the last Drupal Conference in Brussels, and the hearing about the number of other Drupal developers in Asia the idea of staging an Asia Drupal Con came to mind.

The Lullabot team will be running a Drupal API workshop October 4th, 5th, and 6th in San Francisco.
This workshop runs through the general principals of the Drupal programming framework and gives you everything you need in order to start making your own Drupal modules. Drupal's API is incredibly flexible and it's possible to greatly modify it's functionality without hacking any code. We'll go in depth with Drupal's hook system and show how to modify forms, nodes, users, links, and other Drupal elements. We'll show you how to make custom blocks, nodes, and build on Drupal's powerful web-application functions. We'll also explain some of the philosophy and principals about how and why Drupal works the way that it does so that you'll be able to better understand the logic behind it.

The Lullabot team will be running a Drupal theming workshop in San Francisco on October 2nd and 3rd.
This workshop is an in-depth look at Drupal's theming system and how to make your Drupal site look however you'd like. This class is appropriate for designers and web developers with a little bit of PHP experience who are familiar with HTML and CSS markup. We'll cover everything you need to know to convert a static HTML layout into a finished and functioning Drupal theme. We'll dissect several of the themes that we've built for our clients and show you what makes them tick. You'll get lots of hands-on time and a chance to get all your Drupal theming questions answered. This class will cover theming for both Drupal 4.7 and the still-in-beta 5.0.

Hello to everyone in this group. I work at a web design firm that frequently used Drupal for the backbone of our sites. We always advertise to our clients that their sites are editable and give them an hour or two of training to show them the basics of content creation. However, its rare that a new user retains all of the information that they need to. What we need is a simple end users guide going over the basics of content editing, making pages, using the menu system etc... I have been given a full day next week to put together the best guide possible (given the time constraints).
So my question is What training material do you give end users?

Some things you need to know for the Drupal training next week.
Firstly, there are still a number of seats available for the course, if anyone is interested in joining us , please
contact me at adrian at bryght dot com.
What do I need to bring :
hardware
Your laptop, if you own one. If you do not own a laptop, a computer
will be made available to you, but we only have machines running linux
available.
software
Your favourite web browser. Preferably firefox. Internet Explorer is also suitable, but will likely get you ridiculed. (it's just the truth =) )
A model for what could be done in Australia?
When I read about the Summer Drupal training program in India I can't help thinking whether it is possible to arrange something like it in Australia.
Any interest?
