theming

Hello, I'm just posting here to let everyone know that the bulk of the new theming handbook is up. Most of it has been rewritten and reorganized. I hope it is accurate and clear enough to get everyone familiar with the theming system.

It's still missing sections on sub-theming (which can get really fancy BTW). I hope to get a few solid explanations and illustrations on the possibilities. Engineless themes and theme engine sections are not there yet but I don't think it's too critical.

JavaScripting could use some help too. I hope someone can fill that in.

Just wanted to share a quick theme override that others might find useful.

For a group blog site we've been building (http://www.newamerica.net/blog), the Slideshow module is a great way to give users an easy way to drop images into their posts. The only problem was that, more often than not, someone would decide to post only one image -- which results in an unnecessary header of "Previous | Image 1 of 1 | Next".

Does anyone know how this is done? The button I am referring to is the one that appears on all pages along the top. How would go about changing that button? Thanks in advance.

In case you hadn't heard, the Lullabot training road show is making a stop in Los Angeles - February 4th - 8th. The team will be doing a full week of themer training starting with an Introduction to Drupal Theming followed by three days of Advanced Drupal Theming. Theming question here...

I have a $secondary_menu in my page.tpl.php and it's doing what it's supposed to. Right above it I have a Section Title. I want that section title to be replaced with whatever the top-level menu item is. (Say the top-level is About | Products | Contact, and then 2nd level under Products is Shoes | Coats | Umbrellas. If you've clicked on Umbrellas, I want the section title to be Products.)

In case I want my detail page ($page=1) at /node/123 of my own content type to display in a panel - how would I do this?

Un-theming Zen is getting a little old, so we're looking at settling on a company-wide base theme for all new projects. The themes we're looking into are:

Any opinions on these? Any other must-haves in your starter theme?

One of the other things we do is to include START and END comments in each tpl file so that you can easily trace your templates on the site by viewing source with this snippet:

Básicamente se trata de un website para compartir audios de Radio. Y el concepto es recuperar esos viejos cassettes que alguna vez grabamos, convertilos en formato digital, subirlos y compartirlos con los amantes de la radio.

El theme fue creado desde cero. Tiene un concepto muy claro, el cual es: escuchar, buscar y subir material.
