CASH Music and Drupal?
Here's a blurb from http://cashmusic.org:
Read moreCASH Music is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our software will provide a set of open source applications that will provide musicians the ability to communicate, promote and sell products directly to their audience. We want our software and engineers to set the pace and provide an alternative to the media giants.
Sustainability for artists is the goal, and an open source solution gives musicians and coders the power to build solutions together. We can’t rely on Facebook, the RIAA, or even Apple to invent a new model that works with the best interests of artists in mind. Let's create those models together.

Read moreUtah Open Source Conference
Hey everyone,
This was mentioned at the meetup, but I wanted to post it here as well. I received a message from Clint Savage at the Utah Open Source Foundation, one the people who run the Utah Open Source Conference. They've given me a promo code for the Utah Open Source Conference 2009 to pass on to everyone. It's good for 50% off the Full Access Pass to the 2009 conference, making it only $35 from the normal registration price of $70.

Everyone should definitely check out Angie Byron a.k.a webchick's keynote on Women in Open Source. She was awesome (and so was Liza Kindred).
The overall numbers are shockingly bad, BUT in the Drupal community, we are lucky to have webchick. On top of her many contributions to the community she has made it one of her goals to help get women involved. This Drupalchix group is a small example of her efforts.
| Category | % of Women |
|---|---|
| Proprietary SW | 28% |
| Open Source | 1.5% |
