Interactive computer music production course in Drupal
I am beginning the development of an interactive course in computer music production as part of a larger educational research project. I have some experience in Drupal already and I want to capitalise on this and expand my knowledge of the system.
The project does not have a big community element although there will be different user classes i.e. student/educator/admin
The main requirements are:
Students view and educators view - I'm thinking of a 3 column design with nav and course pages for students and an extra column for teachers/facilitators

Following on the heels of a great thread, I put together a screencast using the CCK Filefield module as a container for video media files and then applying the jQuery Media module to play back those media files in the appropriate player/method. I've been looking for a replacement for the video.module for some time and I wanted to put this recipe under a microscope. Check it out the screenie, feel free to drop me a line if you loved or hated it.

Read moreCCK for dummies. Conversion tutorial
Hi All
I am slightly following the CCK possibilities for about a year already and I think I am able to try it eventually live as it seems to be a good solution to a number of my problems. Unfortunately I am not sure where to get started. I've got plenty of traditional blog posts on my site and I am not sure how to convert them to CCK nodes or whether there is such possibility at all.
Could you, please, tell whether it is possible not to start CCKeing from scratch, but to convert existing content into CCK nodes? Any pointers to tutorials would be highly appreciated.

To go along with the release of Captcha 3.0 final, I put together a small video tutorial on Captcha, Image Captcha and reCAPTCHA.

Well the file is about 227MB, huge I know. I am working on a way to distribute these, will try a torrent when I get off work. Don't worry about being kind to my server the account ends in a few days, January 24th I think. The picture quality coming off VNC as well as the audio coming of Skype were so much better this time around. Once again this is a QuickTime *.Mov file, I'm sorry for any problems this may be causing some of you. Well after all of that if you still want the video you can click the link to download Lesson #3 From January 14, 2007!
I also now have just an audio file of the lesson if anyone wants this for notes and such.
Read moreMelbourne Tutorial - Intro to Drupal 5 Modules & CCK
Hi Melbournians
sammys and I would like to conduct an informal training seminar on Thursday 7th, in the late afternoon. In this tutorial, we'll go over some basics when it comes to building a module from scratch and also looking at how CCK can be used to make our work a bit easier.
This tutorial will be free, and a great chance for people with limited experience to get a head start on the basics. Please spread this word around any Drupal using, Non-profit orgs you know of.
We do need a venue, not too worried about location. The time we think will be between 2pm and 6pm. Yes, it's a bit last-minute but isn't everything that's good in life? For example, I always drop my kids off late to school...
