panels

Hi All,

I am building a site where we need advanced features on the profiles page so I used APK. Everything seems to be working fine with APK except the Panels variant has a 2 column layout, but it views only as one.

I'm a CSS guy and can hack it to look ok, but I think I did something goofy with Panels to make it one column and I want to get the use out of panels. I'm pretty good with Panels, but not great.

Has anyone encountered this with Advanced Profile Kit ? Or think maybe its a APK problem and not a Panels problem?

Any help would be awesome, thanks!

I am posting a question and I'm hoping to get some help with Panels/Advanced Profile kit.

Here's the situation. I have a panel using advanced profile kit (really just a panel that was created by APK and I tinkered with it) with one variant.

The current URL for all profiles using that panel is /profile/user/%name

I would like to change the url to /profile/user/ city from cck field / state from cck field /%name

How would I do that? If that is even possible.

I have a feeling it has something to do with adding arguements.

I'm trying to create a site using taxonomy term pages with panels and views as described in this fantastic Drupaleasy blog post:

I've managed now to set-up the site so that all content is automatically categorised onto individual pages according to its taxonomy term so I'm all good there. The problem I'm having is in creating a panel which will display all of the term descriptions of for the children of any given top-level term.

OMG! Do I love the panels module.

I haven't delved deeply into panels and mini-panels just yet but...

I was driving myself crazy coding my front page so I had a two panel gateway into two separate sites. Actually they are all on the same install and really just one site. I wanted two distinct pictures (jpegs) that represented each the site/side they were hyper-linked to and to have the text above centered. No matter how I Div'ed the node in the editor I couldn't get even and centered text nor the hyper-linking pictures satisfactorily positioned.

Hi folks, I'm sure this is a newbie question with probably a simple answer, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

What I want to do is have a Panel display all of the nodes tagged with a particular taxonomy term OR its children. In the panel, I have a context which is the parent term. The view has a Taxonomy: Term ID with depth argument. In the panel it's converted to the Taxonomy: Term ID context.

Quick question: Does OpenLayers play nice with Views Arguments.

Anyone got a technique to share?

Jag började kolla på Panels för ett tag sedan och förstod det som att man skal lägga egna layouter i katalogen för sitt tema... Det låter ju helt logiskt...

Men, jag har ett administrationstema, vilket innebär att jag inte kan komma åt att välja layouten om jag lägger layouten i mitt huvudtema och den kan inte visas på sidan om jag lägger den i mitt admin-tema.
Och om jag lägger den någon annan stans kommer jag väl inte åt den heller, eftersom jag måste lägga plugins[panels][layouts] i min .info-fil för temat?

Is there a way to make selecting the "Add content"

/panels/ajax/editor/select-content/panels_mini ...

when the popup appears default to a left category selected? I'd like to present the most common options to the user as a default set. So, say I create a category called "Our Common Stuff" and our mini panels and views are all tagged for that. Could I have that be the default selection when the add content ctools popup appears? Thanks for any help.
