Our mission is to connect Drupal users in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and surrounding areas. We get together monthly for presentations, site demonstrations, and hack nights. Our goal is to help new Drupal users get up to speed, foster the development of existing Drupal designers and Developers, and contribute to the larger Drupal community. The Research Triangle has a big concentration of technical folks, universities, and start-ups and we want to expose as many people as possible to Drupal and all that it offers.

Getting Pathauto to change ALL the URLs
I'm using Pathauto to clean up the nasty Drupal URLs. So, I have a content type "project" and the URLs to these projects are like: /project/projectname
However, when I'm viewing that project, the "Edit", "What Links Here", and "Who's Bookmarked" links at the top is still linking to the old nasty Drupal urls, like "/node/175/edit".
Does anyone know of a way to change this? I can't seem to find any answers on the intertubes.
Read moreDrupal Bootcamp?
It looks like our user group is growing and that's awesome! Based on what I heard around the room last night it seems like we have quite a few people that are relatively new to Drupal. This being the case I wanted to find out what interest level there was in doing some training on fundamental topics like Views, CCK, basic theming, etc.
Read moreSearching across multiple databases
I am needing assistance creating a form that will allow a visitor to enter in only one field ... a 'part' number. The form will then search 5 different databases for this exact number and return a result of manufacturer name (5 possible choices for now) and phone number for that manufacturer. Each manufacturer may be using SQL, mySQL, or Oracle for their database. I will have access to these.

Read moreneed help getting site into a SVN repository
Hey all,
I've finally gotten to the point of moving my site into the "real world" and off of my desktop running XAMPP. I'm trying to do things proper and I've set up a SVN server at Beanstalk (www.beanstalkapp.com/). So, at this point I'm trying to figure out how to best manage the site and the repository. I'm a SVN newbie, so I'm struggling with how I should go about adding my site files to the repository. I'm using Tortoise SVN for windows. So, should I make a new repository and add the whole Drupal installing into that folder? Or, should I create a repository inside the drupal folder and add the /sites/.. folder into the repository?
I ultimately want to be to be able to have the main live site get committed to the repository every day, then get copied to a test site. I'm just not sure how to best get things initially set up.
need help with redirects
I posted this issue on the drupal forums but alas, have not gotten any response. Hopefully some of you local folks can help out.
I recently moved my site from a /drupal subdirectory to the site root. Using cPanel's "redirect" dialog, I redirected mysite.com/drupal ==> mysite.com. I also set a wildcard so that, for example, mysite.com/drupal/news would redirect to mysite.com/news. In addition, I set some redirects for pages from the former site to the equivalent pages on the new site, e.g., mysite.com/hire.php ==> mysite.com/jobs.
