You can also join your Drupal peers and mentors in a couple of places:
- Slack tends to be more active these days. Join https://tcdrupal.slack.com. If you need an invite go here to get an automatic invite to the Slack team
- IRC -- #drupal-twin-cities on irc.freenode.net -- to ask questions, propose ideas, socialize. Check out Drupal.org for more info about IRC and Drupal including how to create a new account and connect. Or come to the next local meetup and someone will help you get started.

Help us name our "unconference" event
Tomorrow, we're hoping to officially announce and open registration for our midwinter "unconference" event. However, we'll still not very united on what to call it.
Ideally, we're looking for a name that:
1) potentially convey the "openness" of the event
2) avoids confusion with TC Drupal Camp
3) Is a little fun.... :-)
Original ideas:
- TC Drupal Midwinter Unconference (not sure that everyone knows what an "unconference" is)
- TC Drupal Midwinter Camp (Don't want to confuse this event with TC Drupal Camp)
Midwest PHP 2014

Read moreD6 Calendar – Event Times Wrong!!
Hello,
I have a client who is still running a D6 site and somehow all of their event times are off by 6 hours. They were fine yesterday.
I checked the time zone setting under site configuration and it's correct.
I believe it has to do with the Calendar Views and the Date and Time (field_event_date) - From date.
I added a new event and it's working fine with the correct time.
However, all the events already created are still wrong.
I'm wondering if any of you would know how to override of fix all the times universally.

With that schedule in mind, we're due for a meeting in February prior to the Happy Hour. NOTE: We're trying to schedule this early enough that it does NOT take over the scheduled Happy Hour.

Getting more involved with Drupal
I’m really excited about the global sprint weekend for Drupal this weekend, so I wanted to share how I started to get more involved with Drupal, as well as some great resources that I’ve found helpful.
I started working with Drupal over five years ago now. At the time, I preferred to hand-code HTML and CSS for sites that I built, although I wrote some custom backend code with PHP and, yes, ColdFusion. I’m a team of one in my organization, so front end, back end, UX, information architecture, content strategy, those are all on my plate.

I have a few questions on Drupal. i am evaluating it for my company and I keep getting stuck on 3 things.
-
How does drupal replicate content across multiple datacenters? If I have my authoring server in one location, how does the content and metadata stay in sync?
-
I need to use a single sign on solution. How would this work if none of the webservers are shared?
-
If I have content that is the same, can I share it between sites?
Thanks for your time.

Drupalcon Austin is in 5 months and I'd like to get some preparations out of the way before all of the good deals for hotels and whatnot disappear. Some people have suggested sharing hotel rooms, others have suggested renting a party bus with wifi for the trip down. What are some other ideas?
Getting there. I don't know anything about the party bus or if I'd be able to join in for that, but that sounds awesome. Does anyone know how that would work or how much it would cost per person?
