PixGather - Wedding Photo Uploads
For those interested, I've released the photo upload app / Drupal module that we discussed at the last meetup. I've called it PixGather - because you gather all the pictures from your gathering...get it!?
I ended up using rules to allow for site builders to control how uploaded photos are handled. Seemed to handle keeping the app/module generic without diving too deep down the rabbit hole :)
Check it out! And thanks to you all for your help in designing the project.

I'm "back in town" after taking a 3-4 year hiatus from active drupal usage. Used to be an active member of Boston and Education groups. I'm helping build a new website for my kids' elementary school PTO, WardPTO, on Drupal 7, and I have a number of questions. Hope it will be OK to post questions here and get pointers. Some of these may seem "elementary", but hopefully folks will humor me.
First question - Is anyone aware of good examples PTO websites out there? I'm especially interested in ones running on D7.

This tutorial builds on the tutorial located here. Refer

MongoDB supports what is called a Replica set. This differs slightly from the master/slave paridigmn where all transactions in a master/slave took place through the master - the slave served mostly as a hot spare.

Design 4 Drupal camps logo?
Do you think it would be useful to have a graphic identity for Drupal Design Camp(s) that can be used yearly in site designs, materials, and communications?
Something like: http://web.mit.edu/graphicidentity/logo/placement.html that's used on hundreds of uniquely branded departments within the organization.
It could help save money and resources on signage for yearly events.
How about having a logo contest for Design 4 Drupal?

Read moreUsing JQuery UI to Add Effects to a Drupal Site
Hi Everyone,
I just finished the first part of an article on my site about how to use JQuery UI to add a modal dialog box (or the like) to a Drupal site. This may be old hat to some folks on this list, but I thought might be of some benefit to share it with intermediate and beginning drupalistas: http://www.techneblog.com/article/using-jquery-ui-add-effects-drupal-sit....
Also, please let me know if I've posted this in the wrong place or in the wrong manner.
