Online Stroll through Drupal 8, then patch party
Update - the patch party is on for this evening, but will be off in December. Plan will be to resume last Monday of each month again in Jan 2013.
A group of us are getting together casually at MIT (Tang Center, E51-145, the usual room for our meetups) from 6:30-8:30.
For the first hour we'll explore the current state of Drupal 8.
For the second hour we'll test patches and post our results to the issue queue.

The Drupal Business Summit is coming to Boston! (Well, technically Burlington)

I have built 4 successful Drupal sites at this educational institution where I am employed. I am basically a data guy, but thanks to the rich collection of Drupal modules and documentation I have managed to muddle through. The sites all use standard templates and modules with very little tweaking of CSS or PHP by me. The sites mainly deal with managing required documents - entering some meta-data, uploading the document, passing the document around for approval, scheduling renewal. Most of which I have built with the usual modules CCK, ViEWS, WORKFLOW, etc.
