A few of us have been working at securing a new location for Florida DrupalCamp 2011 - and we've made some good progress.
Before we go much further, we want to double-check the date that we've been working with: February 12-13, 2011. The location will remain in Central Florida.
As far as we can tell, these dates are relatively safe, with the only downside is that this is also the closest weekend to Valentine's Day (the SuperBowl is February 6, the Daytona 500 is February 20, DrupalCon Chicago is March 7-10, there are no other DrupalCamps currently scheduled for this weekend).

Waaaaay back in February, we started something that we never completed. Now is the time to do the right thing and finish what we started.
As part of Florida DrupalCamp 2010, we committed to building new sites for two local non-profit organizations: the Greater Orlando Mothers of Twins and Triplets and Junior Achievement of Central Florida. While we made great progress on both sites, but neither site was ever completed. We underestimated the necessary theming effort for both sites.

There's now an official Haitian Creole translation effort at http://localize.drupal.org/translate/languages/ht
We have one site who is starting work on the translation - the more people we can get involved, the quicker it will go. If you're involved with a site and are (or know somebody who is) interested in contributing to a Haitian Creole translation, please get involved. The Localization Client module (http://drupal.org/project/l10n_client) makes it drop-dead easy (no, seriously) to get involved and contribute.
Read moreProblem with Webform and getting email notifications
I considered posting this in the issue queue but it's been open for a year and a half and thought maybe someone here has fixed it.
I'm working on a contact page using Webform and have it set to email the submissions to appropriate email addresses. The problem is that they aren't being sent. I tried the workaround of blanking the From name but that didn't work either. I should have prefaced this with the fact that I have received other emails (such as the super user login info) just fine.

I just finished deploying our local intranet set, and the management liked it so much they want to duplicate and create at least four additional sites for each department.
I was comparing and contrasting the different ways to accomplish this. Each site will be fairly similar in functionality and most likely share the same content types, with the possibility that there may be some tweaks added or removed. It will all mostly be the same though. As it is now, I am the only person who will maintain and manage these sites.

Migrate - Importing an Access Database into a content type
I saw ultimike demonstrate using Table Wizard and Backup and Migrate to import a .csv earthquake data into drupal, and then map it to a content type. He then went on to use mapstraction to map the earth-quake data. It was really awesome.
I am trying to import some Microsoft Access tables from a database and do a similar thing, minus the mapping.
I exported the tables as a .csv file, then managed to set a primary key. Table wizard imports all of the rows.

June Brevard Meetting Wrap up
Last Thursday we met at the offices of GMRS in Melbourne for a 2 hour meetup. There were 6 people in attendance.
We reviewed the OpenPublish packaged distribution (http://openpublishapp.com/). We ran through the modules and features they had installed right of the box. The features can be downloaded here http://drupal.org/project/openpublish_features including their multimedia, article, blog, and event node types they have setup that you can use on your projects (without having to install the entire OpenPublish package). Ed had recently set up his site http://climatetimes.com/ using OpenPublish and ran through some of the features he implemented.
Gil went on to discuss some basic Facebook integration with Drupal sites, mainly the like button and comment box features. He used this tutorial to get him going http://hitech-tips.blogspot.com/2010/05/facebook-like-button-xfbml-tutor... and used the XFBML method which tied itself to an application to monitor stats (unlike the simpler JS method).
We then had a round-table discussion on hosting services and what people have used/are using.
