When's a good time for our next Drupal organizers meetup?
It's been a while since our last organizers meetup (the last one was in November, 2013) and it's time for another one.
A lot has happened recently, including having the GLADCamp conference, some organizers moving away or focusing on other things, new sponsors and resources, and some scheduling of upcoming meetups and conferences to work out.
I've created a Doodle poll at http://doodle.com/aykbwxbs2akq96v4 for everyone. The meetup can either be in person or via a video conference. Please state your preference in the comments below.

Looking for overview, comments, warnings, and suggestions for timebank and community drupal setups
If anyone is watching, I'm looking for use examples, experiences, and reviews for timebanking installations and anything related to hours and using drupal for local community development and services.
Community forge just released their new Hamlet distro, I am installing it now to take a look. i am guessing, based on the size, that it is the stripped down variation they have been describing in a webpage, dru7 and community accounting basically.

Read moreThis is a very well organized and informative session. We got a good mix of senior developers and new comers and some in between. It is a pretty good turn out with 11 people considering it is in Pasadena right around rush hours. People are just terrific, very friendly and ready to help others. Feels like I have moved forward by leaps and bounds. Thanks everyone!
Discuss and plan the next Drupal.LA code sprint (and movie night!)
At last week's meetup for meetup organizers, we discussed how new and relevant information about Greater Los Angeles Drupal is particularly difficult to find. This might be solved when our request at https://drupal.org/node/1951258 for an updated path alias is eventually addressed, but we agreed that in the meantime that we put all our efforts into Drupal.LA at https://drupal.la
When's a good time for a code sprint (and movie night, for those who are interested!) for our Drupal.LA site? We can meet at Droplabs in DTLA almost any day of the week and any night other than Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is when a local college is using Droplabs as an overflow training space.
Here's a Doodle.com poll so that we can figure out everyone's availability:

The 1st Tuesday of the month is coming up again and it's time for another Downtown Drupal Meetup! Join us at Droplabs near Downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 between 7-9pm Pacific. This meetup is free and there will be food, drinks, and raffle prizes!
Are you new to Drupal or the Downtown Drupal meetup? Come learn about Drupal and how others like yourself are using it for their project, business or organization. We promise not to talk down to you.
At this meetup we're having Drupal Show & Tell. After some quick introductions and light news and announcements, we'll be going into 5-minute presentations (called lightning talks) on what each attendee is working on. Everyone who attends will be expected to present on something.
Did you recently attend a great Drupal or tech event that you want to tell us about? Are you currently having a problem that you need help with? Did you solve a problem recently and now have a solution to share with the group? You'll have up to 5 minutes to present and then up to 5 more minutes for Q&A with the other attendees. We'll be using a chess clock to make sure that everyone has enough time.
That's right, it's like Drupal speed chess! (The difference, of course, is that we're not really competing. We're here to teach and learn and not "smack down" anybody.)
Those interested in attending this meetup remotely are welcome to join the webcast. The same meeting format will apply to those who attend online. Be ready to present!
