Indiana

The Indy Drupal Users Group started meeting in January of 2008. Since that time we've ranged from meeting once a month, to twice a month, to infrequently. We've had instructional meetups, guest speakers, some hack-a-thons, and pulled off 2 DrupalCamps.

Right now, the best way to keep up with future meetings is to join us at http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Indy

We're currently getting organized to pickup our monthly meetings and launch a new site to promote the group and showcase the individuals and companies in the group as well as the sites they've played a roll in delivering.

Heads up! Indy GiveCamp in Early November

Many of us are either aware of OR have participated in groups where we donate our time and talent to develop free websites for worthy causes.
To that same end, I have recently connected with the fine folks at "GiveCamp - Coding for Charity" http://givecamp.org/
Some locals are starting up a GiveCamp Community here in Indy. So far, I'm the only Drupal guy onboard. We had our 1st planning conf call 3 nights ago.

Upcoming Drupal Dinner

Hey everyone, the next Drupal Dinner is scheduled for August 16! I hope you can make it. We will be meeting at Rockbottom again at 7:00.

We have been getting consistent attendance, but ironically, it seems to be our more 'veteran' members that don't make it very often. If it's a matter of date/time, let us know! If you haven't been for a while, please come and meet some of the new members who have been joining us!

preprocess_node problem

I have a phptemplate function that changes a webform field "name" but the original value is still hitting the $content . My DSM values show I'm editing the $vars array correctly. what's wrong?

http://drupalbin.com/15355?nocache=1

<php
function phptemplate_preprocess_node(&$vars, $hook) {
dsm($vars); //output shows expected original values based on webform settings
$vars['webform']['components']['13']['name'] = '($'.$_GET[parkfee].')'; //swap value for a new value
dsm($vars); output shows NEW value as set by the previous line

Need Help - Ubercart Filtering

One of the biggest issues IMO with Ubercart 2.x is that it is not based on Views. Unfortunately, this leads to not having the ability to filter based on taxonomy, price, or any other feature of the product content type.

I am looking for a way to filter a list of products by these attributes (taxonomy, price, etc...) An example would be similar to this page:

Marketing Ideas

Long ago I started a Wiki page asking people to help promote the group and help grow it. It garnered one response. Perhaps the timing now is better than it was then. Here's my recollection to what I came up with. After the call on Monday maybe this Wiki page can be edited and ideas added and people add their names to some items?

MARKETING:
Post announcement in Craigslist
Submit free announcement to NuVo [and any other local rag]
Create simple one page flier with meeting details and submit as PDF to here for the group
