Hi everyone,

On behalf of the ADCI Solutions team, I'd like to announce the third Marketing BoF that will take place on Tuesday, the 11th of September.

We'd be happy to meet marketing, business development, account managers, CEOs and business owners, and everyone who deals with Drupal services promotion.

The goal of this BoF is to gather together to discuss the most common challenges, find possible solutions, share experience, and just have fun!

I have a query actually one of my friend is drafting a WHITEPAPER regards to the Drupal success and benefits which would be really useful for non-Drupalers, Drupalers, enterprises and Drupal agencies in which he used Drupal insights and facts.
"The problem is he want to use pictures of Whitehouse, Australian Govt ...
Also can screen shots of successful websites valid to be given in blog-posts or whitepapers without informing the website?"

Feedback needed: what are some sites that belong in "Who's Using Drupal?" block?

The block at https://www.drupal.org/about of "Who's Using Drupal" is in need of a refresh. Do you have any shining examples of Drupal in action that you would like to see listed there? I plan to take your feedback here and work with the Content Working Group to get the block updated with the latest and greatest. Thanks for your feedback. Please comment before October 31.

Proposed Security Focused Sub-Team: Drupal Security Media Relations

Hello!

The Drupal Security Team is considering whether and how to engage with the press to achieve our goals. We're looking for a few people who have experience with PR who can help advise us on possible strategies and likely benefits/drawbacks of those strategies.

If we do decide to go ahead with some form of press engagement, we would want to find a few volunteers who can help us manage that process. Likely requirements of these volunteers include:
* identifying potential journalists to contact
* reaching out to journalists and managing relationships

Building landing pages for Drupal.org

This is the plan for building audience-specific landing pages on drupal.org. Calling all user researchers and content specialist: help us help site builders find their thing on drupal.org. Start with your thoughts on the approach outlined here.

Summary

The current structure and sheer amount of pages on drupal.org make it hard for people to find the specific information they are looking for.

Within 1 year (Q1/Q2 2014?) we will have 1 million registered Drupal installs. We all know the total is higher due to mostly Drupal SaaServices that don't have the pingback enabled and we should always explain that.

Drupal, Hypermedia and the Future of the Web

Drupal is used to build some of the biggest and best known sites on the web and thousands of developers are utilizing it to build nearly 10% of every site on the web. The latest version, Drupal 8, expected to be released before the end of the year, substantially rewrites entire sections, incorporating the Symfony2 framework to completely change how its used to build websites and web applications.
