It's time for another Austin Drupal Users Group Meetup! Several people have suggested that we devote some time specifically to beginner topics. With that in mind, we'll devote the first 45 minutes to an hour on a beginner topic. Any suggestions?
Also, let's try to have some specific intermediate to advanced presentations scheduled. If you're comfortable presenting, please reply with a topic or topics that you would be interested in covering and approximately how much time you would need for each. If we have more topics than we have time for, we can spread them out over future meetings. If there are any specific topics you'd like to see presented, please post those too.

beginner presentations
I want to learn about theming, and especially about how drupal sites and drupal themes can be integrated with non-drupal (xhtml/css) sites.
And if that's not a beginner question - I'd still like to see a presentation. I could probably learn enough to get myself into a coding tight spot!

Austin Drupal Meetup
Since this posting requests subject matter for the upcoming gathering, I believe a Theming presentation may be of some use. Please see http://www.meetup.com/The-Austin-Drupal-Meetup-Group/, join, and RSVP!
Terry Brown, the former Austin Drupal Meetup Organizer, asked me to step up as the next Organizer, and it is important to note that I am committed to keeping the Austin Drupal community united and growing as healthily as possible. A splintering of the group is the last thing I would want to see happen. The Austin Drupal Meetup is scheduled for June 24th at 7pm in UT's ACT Lab, since they come equipped with a screen, projector and 30 computers. We may soon outgrow the Terrazza Library, as well, so the ACT Lab could become our regular spot going forward. Look out for upcoming Install Fests and Workshops under Lynn Bender's (GeekAustin) organization. It is my hope that with a little help over the initial learning curve we will grow the Austin Drupal community to include more and more themers, coders, module developers and Drupal Ninjas alike.
I look forward to working with Matt V. on this directly so as best to facilitate an empowered, educated, and united Austin Drupal community!
