Hello to all you Drupallers based in Ireland!

I have just moved to Dublin as my girlfriend is starting a degree at Trinity, and thought I'd introduce myself to the group. My name is Tom, I'm 26 years old and from Oxford, UK. I've been working as a freelance web developer for over 6 years now, and 4 years of graphic design before that. I have experience with a huge number of technologies, including Drupal. I think it would be nice to have a list of irish sites running on Drupal in this group. There are some nice sites on http://www.cycletraffic.com/ for example.
There is already http://www.drupalsites.net/countries/ireland and the good thing is it has ratings and clicks so it makes sense to reuse it. Maybe we should recommend people from this group to include their site on http://www.drupalsites.net/ and tag it properly with 'ireland'. We could then use the feed http://www.drupalsites.net/countries/ireland/feed to display them on groups.drupal.org/ireland.

I'm looking for an experienced Drupal developer preferably based in Ireland to work on a new Drupal project.

There may be an opportunity to create a list of experienced Drupal developers and Drupal development companies offering services in Ireland. Maybe a list already exists? If so would you point me to it?

Otherwise, if you are an experienced developer or your company provides Drupal developement please post here....

Looking for advice...

Since there is no existing user base in Sligo, I'm curious about ways to have maybe 1-3 intro beginner sessions for others in this region.

• Looking for ideas about building a user group out of thin air- is that training? or is that just offering information sessions?

I don't know if anyone else reading this is living in Sligo? or anywhere in commuting distance? Anyone maybe interested?

Hi Everyone, thought i'd post this here after the last topic of ecommerce and see what the drupal ireland community thoughts are

I have recently installed the premium module to explore restricting content to content types by role. This functions fine but I would like to now explore charging users to register on my site. Is the ecommerce module the only way to do this, it looks quite intensive to start getting into or is there a simpler method to charge users to register via paypal?

heya, i've been shopping around for a new host to use for myself and also recommend to 3 other companies.

i need to host in ireland... and just regular shared hosting services would be what i'm looking for.

i'd like to know if anyone recommends their host?
