Hi,
I'm a Drupal user and would enjoy occasionally meeting to talk about Drupal and learn more about it. I'm currently in the process of launching my company's web site which will be, of course, powered by Drupal. But I have a ways to go and since I'm a Drupal user and not a developer, I'll be relying heavily on Robert Douglass' book and drupal.org forums to learn my way around.
With regard to the Austin Drupal Group, I can help some with the planning and execution of events. I'm not a developer, just a Drupal user, but I can help with setting up the logistics for local events such as asking folks to provide a location, etc. I hope we can find some other Drupal users/developers in the Austin area to get things going!
I also love mountain biking at Walnut Creek Metro Park in North Austin near North Lamar and Parmer Lane so if anyone wants to do some mountain biking, let me know. And of course I'll be at the ACL Music Fest in September! I just hope it's not 108 degrees like it was last year the day Cold Play closed out the festival!

Thanks for joining the group! I updated the graphic so that it fits better in the div.
As for me, I'm working at a startup downtown doing fulltime development using drupal as of March 21st. I've come to really love working with drupal and the community of developers that keeps moving the project forward.
The site is still a bit clunky so I'd prefer to wait till our next release to give out the URL :)

Been trying to turn people onto Drupal. I'm a former web developer who bailed out during the crash and went to work for the state.
We do films and other stuff on the side. I use Drupal to power our home site. I'm stilll recovering my theme from the 4.7 changeover.

I am not in Austin but the DFW area. I have relatives in Austin and get there often.
I am a developer, user of drupal and provide hosting services and I was glad to find a couple of groups in Central and North Texas.
I will be watching for any meetings and get to Austin when I can.
BTW, Simper Fi, 1974 - 1978. Also one of my hosting clients is a retired 4th Recon Officer. It is a small world.

Missing Austin
Well, I'm no Austinite currently but as an Austin ex that still has a lot the the city in his heart I'd like to say rock on. Best Drupal group yet. If there's one thing I miss it'd be hanging out in the Hole in the Wall down on 6 Street(yeah you don't have to tell me the bad news :-/).
If I'm ever going to be making an extended visit back to the city I'd love to meet up with some fellow Drupal devs and hang out.
