May Meetup Wiki Notes
We had a great meetup where most of the discussions were influenced/inspired by what many of us learned while at DrupalCon in San Francisco. We also heard about our website and our OSCon presence. Dan won the drawing for the free Open Source Bridge ticket. Looks like it should be a good conference and you have to love that it is all-volunteer run. On the flip side, unless I'm missing something, only a single Drupal session was selected.

Hey all,
Our two prior "Beer and Drupal" meetups have been a great success (we had nearly 25 people at the last one), so it's officially become a regular monthly event on the 4th Tuesday of the month. As always, no formal agenda... just the opportunity to chat, drink, and work in the company of your fellow Drupalers. Don't forget to bring your laptop and use the free Wi-Fi.
We get going at 5:00 p.m., but if your job doesn't permit you to arrive until 6:00 p.m. or so, that's fine, too.
Read moreDrupal 6 -- Venue / Facilities / Space scheduling/management module?
Hey everyone,
So either a solution doesn't exist, or I can't find a way to properly write out the keywords to find the solution I need in google. Anyways, I'm looking to find a module or module set, or even a solution using the basics (CCK, views, etc etc) allowing for management of facilities / rooms. For example, say an event space with multiple halls wants to only be able to schedule facilities for one event at a time, and wants to be able to see them all, and there will be set rules concerning overlap and what not.
Any ideas? Perhaps a solution you've done yourself in the past?

- Introductions (10 minutes) Be sure to sign up for the Open Source Bridge conference pass raffle on your way in!
- DrupalPDX Demo eliza411 (15 minutes)
- DrupalCon / Drupal 7 Lightening Rounds (5 min. each / 45 minutes) For those who couldn't make it, or those who missed your favorite session, give a brief presentation on one or two highlights from the conference. Since much of the conference focused on Drupal 7, feel free to highlight a Drupal 7 feature that you're excited about, whether or not it corresponds to a specific session.
- OSCon Booth sarah_p (10 minutes)
- Announcements and Open Source Bridge Raffle (10 minutes) Open Source Bridge is June 1–4, 2010 at the Portland Art Museum. They have donated a conference pass to be raffled at this month's user group meeting, in addition to offering user group members a discounted registration rate of $200.
We'll take a look at how to request presentation topics for future meetings and how to volunteer to present.
Get the details on the DrupalPDX presence at OSCon.
Logistics
We meet at the OpenSourcery offices at 1636 NW Lovejoy St. Portland, OR 97209. NOTE: Please be aware that the developers at OpenSourcery will be working right up to event time. We ask that you arrive no earlier than 5:50pm. Thank you!
After the presentation finishes we'll walk over to the Lucky Lab NW for food and drink.
Faceted Search
Is anybody familiar with this module? I need to do a search that searches node titles and taxonomy only, and not the node body. I have the field indexer module to index the title, but don't see how to exclude the body. One way would be to tell the search to only use the title and taxonomy facets. I suppose another might be to build the index without the body, but I don't see any way to do that.

Portland Codecamp Drupal Track
History: The Boise Drupal Group facilitated a highly succesful Drupal Track with 8 presentations over two days at the Boise Code Camp held March 27th and 28th. The Boise Drupal Group was asked if we could do a similar set of persentations at the Portland Code Camp on May 22nd. We discussed this at our monthly meeting on April 28th and while we may be able to do a couple presentations, most of the BCC presenters have commitments in May that will prevent us from providing a full Drupal Track at the Portland event.

Hey everyone,
Just a friendly reminder that TOMORROW (Tuesday, April 27) is the date of our monthly "Beer and Drupal" Meetup.
What is this event? It's an informal meetup each month to work on our own individual Drupal projects in the company of other Drupalers. The idea is that you can work on your own project, ask a question to your neighbor if you're stuck, chat with others about your brilliant Drupal start-up idea, and then take a beer break whenever you want.

O'Reilly wants a high-resolution version of our logo for OSCon. Does anyone have access to a print-quality version of the rain and umbrella logo that has been featured on the DrupalCamp sites. If so, I'd love to use it; otherwise, I'll send them a version of the standard Drupal icon.

User group folks have expressed an interest in having a booth at the OSCon and Open Source Bridge. Is anyone out there willing to make arrangements to get the booths? It won't make you responsible for managing volunteers or anything; we can do that here and at the May user group meeting.

Seemed like quite a few of us were going based on hands raised at the last meeting, and presumably there are a few more who weren't there who are going. There was a mention of a possible PDF meeting in SF. I know scheduling can be very hard and I'm sure there will be a board to post such things on. Maybe a few us will just bump into each other and suggest something and get it started there. Would be nice to pull Drewish in.
Read moreDrupalcon ticket: $150US
I originally bought a ticket to Drupalcon San Francisco back in November under Early Bird pricing. As it turns out, I'm closing on a house on Tuesday, smack in the middle of the conference, and I've decided I'm going to stay home in Portland instead.
Is anyone interested in my ticket? It'd be at face value, $150US, and according to the Drupalcon website, we can organize the trade via the organizing committee.

Hi all,
Is anyone here driving down to San Francisco in time for Saturday's Core Developer Summit at DrupalCon? Have an extra seat available for me? I can pitch for gas and take a turn at driving if your car's automatic. I'm gonna stay in SF through the weekend after the conference, and will likely take the train back, but would be fun to join someone and have conversation on the way down.
Thanks!
Alex.
Drupal proposals needed for Open Source Bridge
Oh woe! Only 2 Drupal presentations have been proposed for Open Source Bridge so far... and today is the last day to submit proposals. That's not cool. Quick, go and propose a Drupal presentation/proposal! You can also see the existing proposals to see what has already been proposed. Open Source Bridge is all-volunteer run and is a truly open source conference, far more aligned with our community than any big, expensive tech conference. Only DrupalCons and DrupalCamps are better for us.

Hello,
I'm putting together a healthcare demo using the Mercury 1.0 image. The client requires that HTTPS be part of the demo.
I've installed everything and have all up and running. When I try to access an https page, the request times out. I'm not an Apache2 expert, so I'm hoping someone can give me a tip on where I went wrong. The following is a debug listing of the Apache2 error log --

Hey all,
Thanks to everyone who made last night's "Beer and Drupal Meetup" a big success! We had about 17 people show up for the event and everyone seemed enthusiastic about making this a regular monthly gathering on the 4th Tuesday of each month. So let's make it happen...
We've decided to try moving up the start time to 5:00 p.m. at the suggestion of a couple Drupalers (who are then able to leave work early and instead get some work done at the meetup). But if your job doesn't permit you to arrive until 6:00 p.m., that's fine, too.

Please note the date change to April 7. Busy schedules, upcoming DrupalCon, and an out-of-town guest have led us to move the date of our regular meetup from the second Wednesday of the month to the first. This change is for April only.
Introductions (10 minutes)
Modules 101 (10 minutes) Nonsie will present Publish Content and Override Node Options.
Special Guest Ryan Szrama: (60 minutes) Ryan Szrama, a.k.a. Mr. Ubercart, from Commerce Guys will be joining us to demo Drupal Commerce on Drupal 7. We'll have Q&A time for all things Drupal Commerce, D7 module development, and Ubercart on Drupal 6. Hopefully there will be as many As as there are Qs.
