Drupal is now become one of the most popular PHP based content management system. Drupal is gaining more interest now a day because it will adopt some of the Symfony Components for upcoming version 8. By adopting HttpKernel, Drupal and Symfony projects will become more inter-operable. It means that you will be able to easily integrate your custom Symfony applications with Drupal and vice-versa.
Today Drupal is used by celebrities, non-profit institutions, schools, Fortune 500 companies and Government websites.

Hi TriDUG,
CityCamp Raleigh is right around the corner, June 1-3 - http://citycampral.org/. You can attend on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday or make a weekend out of it. It's free! What is CityCamp? We gather citizens, developers, and city staff to figure out ways to improve our quality of life through technology. It's like a BarCamp with a civic twist.
And that means we need some smart technical folks like yourselves. You'll meet some awesome people and you could win $5000 for your idea/prototype. We are looking for people to pitch workshops at Saturday's unconference.
