Any place left in website development for a designer?
I am in the midst of job-hunting; though I like my current job well enough, there simply isn't room in the budget for a salary that would allow me to meet the rising costs of ... well, just about everything. So I'm in the market for another job.
Read moreSimple way to show a taxonomy tree view?
I believe I'm over-thinking this.
I wish to show a hierarchical or tree view of a vocabulary. it's a two-tiered taxonomy.
How would you do this?
TIA,
Kyle
Anyone else in the Triad area?
I am the "digital media designer" and webmaster for the daily newspaper in Asheboro (The Courier-Tribune). I had never heard of Drupal until late last year, when I began looking for a new CMS for our site.
I've learned a LOT in the last year, since I built our new site (to replace the old, outdated one) almost entirely on my own (with occasional tech help from a Stephens Media IT guy in Las Vegas, as I am a designer, not a programmer, coder, or developer). The new site launched in April 2010.

Read morefiltering status/error messages before display
I have two modules that are throwing warnings that I'm still trying to track down. In the meantime, they look very scary to my users and I want to filter them so they don't display to regular users. I've tried optionally displaying the message in the page.tpl.php file, but that's awful ugly and doesn't give me enough control on which part of the message to show.

Which do you prefer and why? Rootcandy, Admin Menu, or Admin module?
I started with Admin Menu. Loved it.
Then I discovered Root Candy, even better.
Now I am seeing Admin module (where it uses a left column for admin menu functions).
I am trying to figure out which one is best and why. So, I turn to you for input!

Read moreHas anyone seen a problem with Paypal IPNs lately?
In the last week or so, IPNs from Paypal have started using a different email account (one of mine but not one associated with my paypal account!!) and the notification is failing. The transaction is fine and the payment is received but Ubercart does not receive the notification and so nothing else happens on the drupal site side of the equation. Money is not lost but things are screwed up.
Paypal forums suggest this is a paypal problem so I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen problems with this recently. Or gotten an answer from Paypal?

Reposting this since I have not heard from anyone after the original posting.
I have a working ubercart site with one gotcha. I can sell a download to a customer, but the site never notifies the customer of the download link!! I am convinced this is related to not having the correct conditional actions set up but I'm mystified about exactly what to implement.
Would greatly appreciate some assistance with this. If it's complicated, I'd be willing to pay some consulting time; I just need to get this working right.

I have a working site using Ubercart but I cannot get "download links" to work. The site (www.eightlessons.com) will sell you a downloadable product but I need to configure some TRIGGER / ACTION combo to send you the actual LINK to the file for download (or even for it to show up in your account page under "downloads") It doesn't happen at the moment.

Using Drupal 6.19, Views 2.11, Views Nivo Slider 6.x-2.0
The Nivo slide show works wonderfully; now I wish to associate specific slides to pages.
Qualifiers:
I have a CCK text field, "show on page" ('show_on_page')
I have a nodetype "Slideshow image"
A page node can only have one "show on page" field selection
A SlideShow Image, however, many have multiple "show on page" field selections
