Is Olympia the only group in Washington?
Hello everyone,
I have recently moved back to Washington state from New York, and have been introduced to Drupal by a good friend. She is mentoring me, and has made it clear that I should become involved in the Drupal community. (So this is my first toe-in-the-water.)
I'm surprised to find that Olympia is the only group in Washington. I'm currently residing in Renton. Not that I have anything against Olympia, its a beautiful place especially if you are lucky enough to live on the Sound. I have several friends there and one of my brothers lives in Rainier (east of Olympia).

I have a problem I am hoping is something simple and I've just overlooked a setting someplace.
I have the File (Field) Paths and the Media 7.x-2.0-beta1 modules installed. I have enabled File (Field) Paths for all the File types in my content types and those uploaded files get saved to a directory structure based on date tokens.
The issue I am having is when I attempt to upload a file via /file/add or via the "Add media" button in CKEditor those files always get saved at the root of the public files directory.

IPMA Forum Presentation
IPMA is calling for proposals for the 2016 forum. We (PDC) are not far enough along to really do something on our own. I was just wondering if anyone might be interested in something like "Drupal success stories" or perhaps a panel on how Drupal has changed content management, accelerated development, etc. Perhaps even a chance to advertise the work of the Oly group?

An acquaintence from New York City the infamous Kelly Bell of Gotham City Drupal (cool name ey?) is in town and I think relocated to Oly. She brought up the fact we didn't have a blip on the radar (shame on us) for D8. We decided to get local and put a get together on the calendar for tomorrow night at 8PM at Fishtale Brewpub so we could hang out and talk Drupal over a beer and some hummus or whatever.

Speaking, of, where exactly IS the local "informal" Drupal hangout?
I come from the NYC community, where I was a co-organizer for several years of our camps, cons and meetups, and we always had a bar hangout - the House of Brews - and then a coffee house for our all-day-Saturday Playdays; but I have so far not been able to detect any such animal here in Olympia. Help?
