Portable Hardware Suggestion
I'm just putting a Drupal site together to support community infrastructure in Haiti. Due to the current unreliability of the net in Haiti, the agency have requested a self-contained system (ie, an intranet), so I was going to provide the site on a pre-configured LAMP box to sit in the corner of their office and deliver Drupal goodness over a LAN.

Drupalcamp Edinburgh 2011
At the Drupal Drinks on Friday night we decided to organise another Drupalcamp Edinburgh. We are currently looking at dates in April.
Taking on board the feedback from last years Drupalcamp we are going to make the agenda beforehand rather than the barcamp-style we had.

Freelance opportunity
Hi I am looking for someone to help with some projects for a client I am working with, on a property based site. The client is good i have been working with them for a few months now.
The site is built in Drupal 6 and the areas we are looking to develop are using google maps to display developments, a reporting system to recorded what pages users are looking at and an email notification system.

Drupal Drinks Glasgow - 4th February

After the success of the last drupal drinks here in sunny glasgow It was decided to try and do it monthly, january was left out since we are cold and broke, so it was decided to do the next one in early February.

Drupal 7 release party - Edinburgh
This was suggested in a comment to an earlier post, and it seems like a good excuse for a Drupal get-together in the New Year :)
The date for these parties worldwide is Friday 7 January.
Any venue suggestions? January is always a quiet time for bars and restaurants so we shouldn't have any problem booking wherever we want. I'm happy with Holyrood 9A as that was pretty good last time.
