This is a local user group for sharing knowledge about Drupal and networking with other folks in the greater Seattle web/tech community.
SeaDUG meets monthly to talk about Drupal, to plan related events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
We welcome participants from all skill levels and all disciplines related to website building and development - marketers, project managers, developers, designers, writers, devops, user researchers, QA, and more.
Stay in Touch
- Join the SeaDUG Slack workspace to chat regularly with other SeaDUG community members.

Jobs
PLEASE do not post job offers in this group unless they are local to Seattle, or remote and open to people who live in Seattle. Any job posted to this group that is not in the Seattle/Puget Sound Metropolitan Area or open to its residents will be promptly removed.

On mouseover "pop-up" div solutions?
Hello, I am interested in creating something for my Drupal site that pops up a div containing HTML content (links, etc.) when the user mouses over certain links on the site. This would be similar to the behavior on Netflix where you mouse over a movie title and a synopsis pops up, or on nytimes.com's "My Account" link. I think this would be relatively simple in Javascript, but I'd prefer to use a module if possible so that I could make changes through the admin interface and not through the code.

First, I'm new to Drupal but trying my best. I have built a site for a new charity called Free Cakes For Kids. The site is www.freecakesforkids.com I'm running D6 with a stock theme from Drupal.org called aBeesParadise. The theme is almost perfect for us. Until today I thought everything was going great and then I learned of a problem. If the site is viewed in IE6, all of the content is pushed down on the screen. In a lot of cases people don't even realize that there is content there.

Multisite, single sign-on sans openID....any pointers?
I've got a client who is looking at having around 50 or so multisites, all different domains, but would like allow either a single sign on approach, i.e. signin once and automatically be authenticated across all the multisites, or have the same user/pwd but have to sign in, using that across sites, with shared profiles.
Any, semi secure way to do this without using OpenID?
I've taken a cursor look at this module, http://drupal.org/project/multisite_login, but we're on Drupal 6.
I've got the time/skillset to port it, but would prefer a proven solution over rolling my own.
thanks.

Need help adding Google maps to Drupal 6.4
I have the pleasure of building a new site for a new charity being launched. I'm still a n00b, so I'll be using a canned theme and just using basic modules. I think the harddest part of this site for now anyway will be that there are about a hundred chapters all across the US. I'd like to add a node displaying these chapters with contact information using Google maps, unless someone knows a better way.
I'm very excited to get this going the founder of the Organization will be featured on Rachel Ray next month and we believe that the website will be announced!
Thank you in advance!

Ubercart and WA sales tax?
Is anyone using Ubercart to calculate WA state sales tax? The new tax rules are very complex (you have to charge sales tax based on where in WA the item is shipped).
I have a potential client who will need a web site set up soon, and I'm trying to figure out whether I'll need to program up something from scratch, or if something exists. Any guidance will be much appreciated... I am at this time new to Ubercart...

Views Filters with Exposed Select Lists
Problem: Long lists in exposed filters require control key + multi-selects which are subject to keyboard errors.
Solution: Convert select lists to scrolled check box items for specific filters (not globally)

We have two classrooms that need some setup on Friday morning. It won't take long, but I'm hoping to have two folks who can manage the North Classroom ( rm 105 also called Small) and the South Classroom (rm 111, Large). We need to setup some tables and chairs in both. In addition, the small classroom is the "break" room. Coffee, water, and snacks need to be setup ASAP i.e. before 9:30 when folks are expected to arrive. The small room also needs butcher paper applied to the windows so a projector can be worthwhile. I'm bringing the paper and tape.
