This is a local user group for sharing knowledge about Drupal and networking with other folks in the greater Seattle web/tech community.
SeaDUG meets monthly to talk about Drupal, to plan related events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
We welcome participants from all skill levels and all disciplines related to website building and development - marketers, project managers, developers, designers, writers, devops, user researchers, QA, and more.
Stay in Touch
- Join the SeaDUG Slack workspace to chat regularly with other SeaDUG community members.
- Follow us on LinkedIn for more frequent news and Drupal-related content sharing.
Jobs
PLEASE do not post job offers in this group unless they are local to Seattle, or remote and open to people who live in Seattle. Any job posted to this group that is not in the Seattle/Puget Sound Metropolitan Area or open to its residents will be promptly removed.

Hey folks, just wanted to say 'hello'! I'm the new guy on the block and thought I'd do the newbie thing and post a hello.. I stumbled onto Drupal after one of my employees had shown me what he was doing with his personal site. I have since fallen in love with the technology and am trying to use Drupal for my own family website AND as an added bonus I've taken on the chllenge of building a new company 'intranet' using Drupal.
So hello again and I hope to see you guys around.

Just posted this simple module to add mebeam video chat to a drupal site.
http://drupal.org/node/263080
MeBeam is a free flash video chat service. This module allows randomizing the room name via the cron hook to minimize unwanted traffic / bookmarking etc. Just posting here so local Drupal users find it first.
CCK_Create_Install module
I am looking for some feedback on a module I created recently.
http://drupal.org/project/cck_create_install
On several sites lately I have used cck and views, and usually end up using the cck node types as special node types with supporting modules. The problem is that the cck export module doesn't seem to work very well so it is difficult moving the created cck / taxonomy stuff from the production site to the live site.
CCK_Create_Install solves the problem by generating install code for the cck content type and all of the referenced taxonomy.

This year's Seattle Drupal camp is shaping up and the presentation line-up is looking great!
I am heading up an effort to record and share the valuable sessions at Drupal Camp. The goal is to get recordings of the sessions and push to get the video online at or shortly following camp.
This is my call for help with publishing video of sessions.
Here is a list of needs:
- Video Equipment - Cameras, Tripods, Tapes, Microphones
- Volunteers to help transcode video and publish to our online host
Help! Problem with Views/Taxonomy
We're having a problem where Drupal will intermittently create an invalid SQL query when displaying one our our views. The view has a Taxonomy field displayed in the last column. What's weird is that the view works immediately after we create it - but then breaks spontaneously without anything changing in the view or underlying data.

Hi, I've just set up a couple of views for different users and roles. A couple of them are for CMs only but anonymous users are getting access. Has anyone encountered this before? We've got the particular roles set on the view/edit
