Black Lion Group is a media and marketing company on steroids; we’re growing so fast we need more hands on board.
What we do at Black Lion is pretty unique: it’s called 360 degree creative marketing. We’ll tell you more about it if you get a foot in the door, but for now think of it as media and marketing across every platform, and on levels Cape Town has never seen before.

Hello Everyone,
Some times it may sound like people only pay lip service to the greatness of the Drupal community, simply calling it amazing once in a while. There's more to it than that though and once you're participating and integrating, you really feel the support and rewards. For myself, I'm humbled and feel safe and cared for. These are people that care for others, give and help. This week, especially I experienced even more than the amazing help, support and information that the meetups and online interaction sustainably provides:

Hi All
Before I post this out to the world, I would rather put this out to South African Drupal developers first:
I urgently need a freelance back-end developer to take over a job from me, as due to current commitments and deadlines, I can not complete this work.
Job description: Building a custom Drupal commerce module that handles subscriptions with a payment gateway. How ever, I have to point out that this work is a lot more involved than just a standard commerce payment gateway.
I have completed about 70% of the work so it is just a matter of taking the module to the end.

Hello Everyone,
This Friday is the first Drupal user group meet-up for Pretoria / Centurion. It's already looking like it will turn out to be a great success under the stewardship of Renate (organiser) and Stuart (venue host).
Please make sure to RSVP on the meetup.com group:
http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Pretoria/
We now have two very successful monthly Johannesburg meetups, a successful monthly Cape Town meetup and we're looking to the future. The Durban meetup starts on the 19th of November:
http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Durban/
And today, we're announcing a new meet-up again. This one is also in Pretoria, but it is planned to switch to monthly meet-ups in 2016 only.
Pretoria / Arcadia meet-up will be a day time one, from noon to 3pm and will be mid-week, so office hours. Another thing that will set it apart a bit is that it will be themed. Well, themed where possible. The theme? NGO and Government.
To kick things off we are doing a meet-and-greet. A special format meet-up that does not have a speaker and is intended to get all the parties together to meet and discuss the requirements and nature of the new meet-up.
The first Pretoria / Arcadia (NGO & Gov) meet-up will be on the 16th of October, 12 noon:
http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Pretoria-Arcadia-NGO-Gov
Please sign up to the group to be kept abreast of planning and get notices of events and please also RSVP to the event if you plan to come:
http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Pretoria-Arcadia-NGO-gov/events/224870872/
Your host and organiser will be Seaparo Phala and his team.
This is an area that we haven't specifically addressed yet, so we'll need the help of all of the community to pull this of as an awesome success. We need to get the word out. Please let everyone know that you know who may be interested. With a successful meet-up like this we can help our government deliver better service, our tax money will be better spent, we'll serve our public servants our volunteers and aid workers at NGOs and in general help good people make good things happen!

Drupal 8 is getting closer to launch by the day. Even though we don't have a final release date as yet, we wanted to inform you all that DASA will be organising Drupal 8 launch parties in both Johannesburg (Cobblestones in Montecasino) and Cape Town (Venue to be determined). We may hold parties in other areas depending on interest.
We also have a limited run of Drupal 8 stickers that will be handed out at each event and are on a first come first serve basis.
Keep an eye on https://drupalreleasedate.com/ to give you an idea as to progress and potential release date.

Hi All
First of all, apologies for not using the jobs board for this, as we would like to keep things local.
We urgently require the services of a Drupal front end developer to built a small category driven content site on a quick turn around.
Home page, search, category landing page and content page. That kind of thing.
Frame building and styling.
Site will be multilingual, but don't worry if that is not your strong point, we will help.
No custom coding or coding experience needed, although we will provide some custom modules that needs to be implemented.

If so, how did you do it?
