Slides for Talking at Meet-ups
Topics, how-to and workshop:
Putting together a few slides to support your talk / presentation at the Drupal user group meet-ups can become a quick thing. In the process, your slides and talk can then be easily referenced the next day by those interested and can be easily shared with others who may then present at other national meet-ups.

DASA's governing board and meetings
I'm sure that by this time you guys all know already about the DASA (Drupal Association South Africa) meetings once a month. Our agendas for each meeting are annotated on the night of the meeting and all version and changes can be found on our public GitHub account:

DASA moves slowly, but surely:
Cape Town meet-ups are doing super well again and Johannebsurg meet-ups continue to be very well attended. We have plans for a Durban meet-up to start in 2015, a national DrupalCamp in the first half of 2015 and will continue to work on creating new national Drupal meet-ups, perhaps also looking at Southern African meet-ups.
We'll likely be launching a new website in the next month or two, so keep a look out.
With an early view on the annual DASA governing board elections which will be open to voting here on GDoSA, I'd also like to take an opportunity here to note those who frequently attend the DASA meetings and volunteer their time to help us put everything together...

We're hoping to start a Drupal user group in Durban early in 2015, likely first meeting being Wednesday the 11th of February 2015. If all goes to plan, a couple of Capetonians and a few Johanneburgers will come over for the fist meet-up and we'll continue to pop past a couple of times a year also inviting some Durbanites to then start joining us at the other national meet-ups.

So, I sent some of the South African Drupal swag over to Mike at Drupal Easy (http://drupaleasy.com/users/ultimike) - I listen to their Drupal podcast in the car and it often feels like Mike's supposed to be somewhere close by, ready for pizza or beer. He's the host, most often.
